NYE Dessert Parties

Hello All,

I know this is kind of early for discussing this; but we are thinking of being at WDW for New Years. We are thinking of doing MK on 12/30 with Epcot on 12/31. Are there typically dessert parties these days? From past experience, do they typically open with ADRs at 180 days out, or do they open closer to the date?

Not sure when they opened but we did the 12/30 MK one a couple years ago-best money spent to see fireworks out of the crowd. It was freezing that night too, so nice to have place to sit and unlimited hot chocolate LOL! I snagged a spot for the 2 of us a week out I think? I was really lazy about planning the NY trip (to pick up a DCP kid) as we were just there Thanksgiving week.
If you plan 12/31 Epcot get an ADR right away-I waited til month out and not much left-managed to snag prime Tokyo dining at ~8 pm a few days out. You will definitely want a definite a place to sit out of the crowds.

Have a great time! Loved going over New years (without the other kids-way to crowded for us to bring the other kids along)!

We were in Epcot last year for NYE and there was no desert party and they did not offer the FastPass for Illuminations.
