NYE Boardwalk villas

This year, we're going with the DGC, and wonder if we are at the party at the Village Green, would we be able to see the Epcot fireworks from that area?

From ground level I wouldn't think so if your in The Villiage Green. We usually stay in a Studio during 4th Of July and can see the higher ones from our Lanai...Have a GREAT time...Shawn

We've stayed in the 1BR BWV on the 2nd floor right by Village Green twice and from there could only see some of the higher fireworks so no, I don't think you'd be able to see much, and maybe nothing, from the Village Green itself.

OK, thanks. We have dinner reservations at Garden Grill on NYE. We have 4 adults and 3 children, so however the situation plays out, some will see the fireworks from inside the park, even if some have to go back to the room to sleep. I had been thinking maybe we all could leave, but have some stay up at the party and not miss fireworks, but I see that won't happen.

Last year for NYE we ate at Kouzzina on BW and moved to Dolphin for that night from OKW(used Starwood points, just for the great location). We were able to see the fireworks at DHS at midnite from the Swan/Dolphin area and we also able to see Epcot ones at midnite and the earlier ones in the evening(can't remember what time). You have a great view of the high ones from Epcot..you just won't see what is low and the Illuminations stuff from around WS. It was great for us..we left DHS by early afternoon and enjoyed the resort and BW area for the night and after midnite were back in our room before the rest of the folks hit the trams!!!!

When you viewed from the S/D area, were you in your room, or in the hotel in a specific place?

You'll definitely be able to see the higher level IllumiNations fireworks from along the Boardwalk itself - as many of them as you could see form a boardwalk view balcony, anyway. You might have to step out of the immediate Village Green lawn area itself (the BWI wing will block some of them if you don't), but that's just a few steps. You'll be able to see and hear the higher level fireworks. Trust me, those Holiday Tag fireworks are LOUD! I doubt anyone is going to be sleeping through them!

Unless you are standing around the World Showcase Lagoon in side EPCOT, you won't be able to see the lower level lasers, lower level fireworks or the globe. But I think you already knew that.

Probably no older than me. I just don't have DGC yet (I expect it will be several years).

When you viewed from the S/D area, were you in your room, or in the hotel in a specific place?

We were at the bridge between BW and Swan for Epcot fireworks and moved closer to Swan dock area for DHS better view, but you could see both from the bridge.
