anything special about it di they have a party?? is the resort over crowded or is it there slow time of year??

Don't know about DVC, but on Interval International with my other timeshare I can book any of the Marriott big 3, including a 3br at Surfwatch for NYE week. I don't think it's a busy time on HHI in general.

I know Vero has some sort of NYE celebration/party, so I'm sure HHI has something going on too.

Oh, boy-someone tell me about NYE at HHI. I think that's a wonderful idea! IFrom what I've heard from a few people, it's a slow time of year, and to the best of my knowledge, the resort doesn't do anything special. I wonder if we could get last minute ressies there. Imagine having my NY Day breakfast at Signe's!

We went for NYE three years in a row -- they had parties for the kids and teens (separate ones, based on age), but nothing for adults.

I think the year after we stopped going (kids were too old to go with and we didn't want to leave the house in their hands over NYE!!) they tried a family-oriented party. Don't know if they're still doing that or not.

We always sent the kids to the teen party and just cooked a nice dinner in our villa and welcomed in the New Year quietly. A lot of people were out on their porches at midnight, some with party horns, but nothing big.

We enjoyed it and as soon as we don't have to worry about the kids have 300-400 of their closest friends drop by the house, we'll start going back again! ;)
