NYE at Epcot - Full Capacity

We have diner reservations at Epcot for NYE at 9:40pm. Does anyone know that if the park is at capacity early in the day, will they allow us in for our reservations or do we have to plan on getting into the park in the afternoon before the park is at capacity. Thanks

If its at capacity they won't let you in but they do open and close - back and forth and if you aren't coming in until that late you might be in good shape as I believe the "family friendly" fireworks time is just prior to that and people will be leaving...at least that was the case a few years ago.

We went to EPCOT for NYE in 1999 and it was the only park that wasn't at capacity by 10AM. It seemed crowded in the World Showcase area, but I don't know if it ever reached capacity because we didn't want to take the chance, so we stayed!
By the way, if I'm ever at WDW on NYE again, I will want to be at EPCOT! It was awesome!

We went to Epcot for NYE a couple of year's ago. We left for a little mid afternoon to go to MGM and then heard that Epcot reached peak capacity and shut it's doors for now. We hurried back (we had ADR's and wanted to ring in the NY with Illuminations) and it was open again. It went back and forth from mid afternoon and on. If you leave, they do ask what park you're hopping to because they let you know which are closed (which MK usually is).
