If you're looking for something to do, but yes, it's expensive, for NYE in WDW, how about joining us for an Illuminations cruise? Here's the post that I found, and we are hoping for some sharers.

JiminyHCricket is trying to surprise his Girlfriend by doing this, and I thought I would help him out by spreading the word.

Is there two illuminations on NYE? If yes, which cruise are you doing? What time and from where? Thanks.

It's for the later show of Illuminations....I believe they all leave from the Yacht club's marina. I know that that second Illluminations begins around 11:40....I don't know the exact time the boat leaves, but I'll find out.

There has been some interest, but it's still 4 of us! Imagine enjoying the fireworks of NYE, but avoiding the crowds!:goodvibes

This my first post. My husband and I will be at the BWV for New Years and would love to join this illuminations cruise. I don't know how to proceed from here.

OK...that would be great. I'll send you a private message, also post on JiminyCrickets post at least mentioning that you are interested.

OK, it looks as if we may have 8 people now, not fully confirmed as yet, but there really is room for 10 on the cruises. DH and I have done 1 Illuminations cruise, 1 Wishes cruise and 1 Pirate and friends cruise with people we've met here on the Disboards. The boat captains are great too, you never know what tidbit of (mis?)information you may learn!;)

I'll keep posting here until things are more firmed up, and I hope if you're considering this you let me or JiminyHCricket know!

Thanks,
Bobbi:thumbsup2

I would love to go, but we always go to DHS for NYE.....Maybe next time.

Last year we rented two boats for the MK NYE fireworks. We had a blast. We had the boat catered with drinks, cookies, hot chocolate, fruit.

That sounds like fun, too! And here, I say, maybe DHS for NYE next time!;)

If anyone is going to Epcot for the NYE Fireworks, this is the best way to see the fireworks. Epcot will be slammed pack and just trying to move and breath is difficult.

Still looking for at least 2, maybe 4.

DH and I have done other memorable things, like going to Times Square for NYE. This will be warmer and not as expensive as that dinner on NYE at the Plaza!

Just bumping this up, in case someone hasn't seen it yet!

Is there another couple out there who wants to join us?! It's a chance to meet some DVCers (6 of us are!) and enjoy Illuminations away from the crowd!:goodvibes
