hi all,
some pics from this job, this was said to be the biggest fire in nyc in 10 years not counting sept 11.here are some action shots.
Brooklyn - Box 0036 - West Street between Quay and Noble streets
May 2, 2006 - Firefighters responded to what is believed to be New York Citys largest fire in 10 years (excluding the World Trade Center tragedy). More than 400 firefighters, using 80 apparatus and five fireboats, worked to extinguish the ten-alarm fire in Greenpoint along the East River. The blaze started in a vacant warehouse and quickly spread to six adjoining buildings due to heavy wind conditions. In all, 10 buildings were affected. It was deemed under control 36 hours after firefighters first responded. Fourteen firefighters were treated for minor injuries. A week after the fire, fire marshals remain on the scene searching for evidence and investigating its cause.
