NYC in Nov

Heading to NYC...tell me your must see/do. We've been a few times but always in the summer. I dread freezing.

Been many a time in the winter. Hopefully you will be going late as I believe the Christmas windows usually go up right before your Thanksgiving.

I have never found the temperatures to be outrageous or bothersome. Layers are your friend.

It is always the darn wind. I use a windbreaker as part of the layers.

The city is magical any time of year. Enjoy..

What a great time of year to visit!
There is so much to do.
Central Park walking tours, Hamilton walking tour, we love food tours.
Broadway being open is great news for you. If you don't have your heart set on a certain show, go to Time Square and find TKTS booth for half price shows. I believe it opens at 10am and they sell leftover show tickets for that day at really good prices. When we do this we get there about 9am, the line starts early.

If it’s open by the time you go, take the train to the NYBG Holiday Train Show. Absolutely wonderful. Used to go every time we were in town around the holidays

We used to visit in November every year. It can be very cold, so bring clothes to layer, just in case (and hopefully it will be mild).

We saw the NYC Marathon a lot, not sure it’s still running. (It is. https://www.nyrr.org/races/2021tcsnewyorkcitymarathon )

Some of the things we used to do, like a movie at midnight, and pizza walking back to the hotel, I would not do now due to the crime issues in the city, sadly enough.

Weather in Nov could really be anything…cold, warm (relatively speaking), a decent chance of rain. We’ve had Thanksgivings that were freezing a sand some where we didn’t need coats at all.

A Broadway show is a must do. I recommend Hadestown if it’s open.
