Photos are uploaded, however, we are missing a bunch and the ones that are up have quite a few that are blurry (and more than just a couple).

I called ABD this morning and they are looking into it. The guy I talked to said they should have been uploaded last week and he's going to try and get with their folks in charge of the pictures and call me back.

I know specifically that the Times Square group shot from the first day isn't there, the group shot from the Rehearsal Hall isn't there and we didn't see any from Battery Park.

Those that were with us - do you notice any more that are missing so I can let them know?

TIA!!

I had the same issue with our trip. So far, no resolution and considering the amount of time that has passed, I don't expect one.

I hope they figure out this other issue too. I wish they go back to old school and just keep doing the way they used to. It'd rather have an excess of photos than a lack of.

We had missing photos from the last couple of days of my ABD, also, but they did show up after a few days.

I got the DVD and the photos were missing. Then they uploaded them to the website, but there were the same number of photos. The breakdown was somewhere between the guides and however they produce the DVD/uploads. Hopefully that was just an isolated incident and the NYC Dreams photos will show up.

Just got a call back from ABD and they are claiming all pictures (unless they were too blurry) were uploaded. I told them that was strange as there were hunks of time missing, not just a single photo. Also, a bunch of our photos are blurry. He told me that the thumbnails all seem blurry until you click on them. I told him, I must be confused, as when I click on the thumbnails to make them bigger, it only makes the pictures blurrier. I've also downloaded them and they are still blurry. UGH!

I think it's time to write a complaint letter, which I hate to do. Our Backstage Magic trip had awesome photos so I didn't worry about missing a group shot here or there - but now I'm super upset that I didn't hand over my camera more often. :( And yes, I took a TON of pictures (each member of my family had their own camera) but I would have liked more good ones with us in them.

Really doesn't surprise me. They should at least give the guides a Nikon or something similar to use. Setting them up with these small point and shoots what can we expect. That is the same cameras my kids have. It's not like in the parks where they have the photo pass cameras

I get what you're saying, but I think it's really impractical to expect the Adventure Guides to carry a large, expensive camera like the photopass photographers. The photopass guys have a tripod and scarcely move. The Guides are hiking, running around, carrying extra water, snacks and supplies in their backpacks. To expect them to whip out a professional camera to take photos is just unrealistic. I've gotten fabulous photos from the Adventure Guides. If there's something specifically wrong with the model they're using this year, that's one thing, but as someone who swears by point-and-shoot cameras, I think the Guides do a fabulous job.

True, and it really depends on who is taking the photos. You can have a huge SLR but if the person does not compose the shot well or keep his hands still, you will still get awful photos. Our very first ABD, our guides were using really cheap-looking teeny tiny P&S cameras but the photos they took were really great. The cameras actually look better and upgraded since then.

I don't except them to carry huge cameras. On our Backstage Magic trip, the guides had cheap point and shoots and the pictures turned out great. Our NYC pics are dark, very blurry and not well composed. We have probably 50 of the Harlem tour guide yet very few of the people actually on the trip (other than sides and back of heads).

For a feature that ABD is supposedly very proud of, I think it is being mishandled this year.

Also, we saw water in coolers on our tour but no snacks at any point. We did get spoiled before with snacks and water but I never saw a snack this time around.

There did seem to be a little disorganization at times. We never got the duffle until we asked about it (others didn't receive theirs either). We received t-shirts the first day and the sizes were wrong (which was understandable to the way they handed them out). We were told if we needed another size to be downstairs at 1:35 that day to receive the correct size. The guides were late and didn't have the t-shirts. We had to beg for them later that night and due to the way transportation was arranged they seemed annoyed we were asking for them. There were others on our bus that were afraid if they didn't ask they wouldn't get one.

Overall it was a great trip - don't get me wrong. If I hadn't gone on an ABD trip before I wouldn't know the differences.

I just received another call from ABD. The group shot in Times Square was located and some shots from the Workshop were also located. They are still looking for more. All of the Battery Park ones were deleted because they were blurry. :( The ones that they found are up on the website right now. They hope to have more up by the end of next week.
