nyc disney store- Anyone been?

I went last weekend. Ugh, I won't be going back on a Saturday for a while, is was mobbed! The good is that it is much, much better than what the store was before it closed. I like seeing all the park merchandise there-- and I thought the New York-specific stuff was cool-- much better than the old collection. There are pins, too, for all you pin types-- only a few New York pins, mostly a pretty arbitrary sampling of the pins you get in the World.

The place really is kind of a WDW outpost. Good advertsing for WDW vacations! Wish they had been open before my trip last month-- in addition to park hoppers I could have gotten goodies like autograph books/pens, and other stuff. Not that it is any cheaper.

I want to go back and explore more slowly on a weekday (before the Christmas season starts). It was just SO crowded the day I went I could hardly move. Anyway, I thought it was a big improvement over a regular Disney Store.

I was there this weekend and loved it! It really has gotten me in the mood for my upcoming trip. The Disney NY stuff they had was very cool. They had a good selection of Halloween costumes, the Mr. Potato Head stuff, candy station and tons of other stuff! When you were in the store, it really felt like you were in Disney. We loved it!
