Do we know which pier number the Magic will be sailing from in NY? Who are the current CD and captain? Thanks

The Disney Magic will be leaving from Pier 88 which can be found at 55th Street and 12th avenue.

Hmmm....our TA just sent an email yesterday, noting that the sailing would be from Pier #90, and the Captain is Anderew. (Agreed that CD is Leslie.)

We hope its pier 90, don't remember last time. We are staying at Hotel Ink48 so very close to pier 90..

Are you walking form the hotel to the pier? How are you getting there?
(Google wants me to cross at 46th, by the Intrepid. We're staying at the Holiday Inn which I think is close to your hotel).

When I went last time the best marked intersection was in front of the Intrepid at 46th street. It is probably the safest place to cross.

Last time we came in the day of the cruise via NJT and cab. I hope to walk to the 46th street crossing. I'll see how DH is feeling. I guess I can wheel the cases to the port and come back for DH. Have to see how far the walk is from Ink48..

PLEASE use the crosswalk. The West Side Highway (aka 12th Ave but no one here calls it that - you'd probably get blank looks from most people if you asked for 12th Ave) is a big and busy mini-highway with minimal stoplights. 46th is one of them - others are much further away. It is most definitely not a road you want to play frogger on - with or without luggage. Generally at least once a year (often during Fleet Week) there is at least one person hit attempting to cross NOT at a crosswalk because they think it will save time. (There is also an over-road crossing, but I don't recall it having elevators, so getting up and down could be challenging if you have a lot of luggage or heavy luggage.)
