As many of you know, Doorway to Dreams has opened a location in the Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, Long Island. I have been asked to organize the first ever Doorway to Dreams Long Island Meet with Jen from the D2D store. Everyone in the area is welcome and encouraged to attend. If the Chicago Doorway to Dreams Meets are any indication of the fun we will be having, you won't want to miss it!! (Unfortunatley Todd won't be there to take photo's in the tub)

The meet will take place 9 a.m. on Sunday, May 16th. Please let me know if you will be attending. Looking forward to a great turn out, lots of fun, and whatever else follows.....

I can't fully commit to this date but I will try my hardest to be there! May is hectic for us with wedding planning but this sounds like fun! I think Jen was our "tour guide" when we went to the grand opening event back in the fall...or maybe it was a different Jen? I know someone named Jen has called our house several times to try to get us to buy...

Anyone that can go, should go! It is a ton of fun!! I have been to every DIS meet at the Chicago D2D thus far and it has always been a blast! It is great getting a bit of the Disney magic at home and for all the pin traders, don't forget to bring your pins!

3 1/2 hrs for me and as of now I plan on it!

Yikes - I'm thinking Deb won't be so happy to get up at 3am , but I'm selfishly hoping you guys both come and save sleep for another time

The mall in Chicago doesn't open until after our meet starts either. Doorway to Dreams lets us in before the mall opens. This way it has less impact on their potential sales as well as ensuring we are an exclusive group. We get the fun all to ourselves.
I assume that the Long Island location will adhere to similar practices. There was a gentleman at the last Chicago meet that was training to open the LI store. Nice guy. A real hoot! Y'all will have a blast!
