NY knows how to throw a parade!

It's killing me that I am home and not at the parade. I didn't think I could keep track of all 4 kids in the crowd.

But I'm watching on TV and it's PACKED.

I was lucky enough to be working downtown during one of the parades back in the early90's. I was knee deep in paper! So very fun.

What's really amazing is how quickly it will be cleaned up. The NYC Sanitation Department has it down to science. By 5:00 tonight, you'd never know that all the paper was there.

I work a couple of blocks away from Broadway and I was there. I couldn't see a thing! The closest I got was 30 feet away. I'm only 5'1" and everyone around me was much taller. But it was thrilling just to be there. My DD and her school marching band performed in the parade and I didn't get to see them.

I used to work on Broadway was at the last 2 Yankee parades Great Time! It is amazing how quick those streets are cleaned up.

I bet its awesome,congrats to the yankees. we had our 2 big parades (steelers and penguins) and they were great. when are they going to wdw??
