NY EZ-Pass work in Florida?

EZ Pass instructions require mounting the transponder on the windshield. Posters have reported issues, some toll readers, if the pass is waived or placed on the dashboard.

I suggest bringing velcro or a suction mount. YMMV

Pretty much accross the entire east coast except CT has not toll roads, VT is still stuck in 1960 and has no electronic tolls, SC just has them on on road that can be bypassed(via a seperate highway) or cash paid.
Just a little clarity to offset the judgemental comment... VT has no highways with tolls, thus no need for electronic toll readers -- and yes, stuck in 1960 when the majority of roads in this country were "free" to drive. The only "toll roads" in VT are 3 private roads that go essentially nowhere but to the top of a mountain, primarily for scenic views or maybe hiking. So while it's called a "toll" it is more or less an admission price, as one might pay to ride a gondola to the top of a mountain.

One comment about registering a rental car.....you may find that since it is a fleet car, it is already enrolled in some other pass program, and therefore won't let you register it to your account. I have had this happen before. It doesn't matter though. You can still use the transponder for the rental car even if it isn't on the account.

An E-ZPass transponder from any state will work in FL.
I figure this is usually the case. I do know that there are some discount programs that are specific to certain states.
