I think one of the Canadian cruises out of New York would be a fantastic way to celebrate my 35th birthday (they're even scheduled around it!) but it's not til 2017. I wish we could go next year but there's just no way. I know they didn't run cruises out of New York for a while, and obviously no one knows what they'll offer until it's announced, but when they move (or return) to a new departure point do they usually stay there a couple years? Just don't want to count on it happening if they're not likely to offer them again from the same location the next year. Thanks for any insight you might have!

No one can predict it but this was due to demand I think a few cruises at that time each year for now.

Nothing is set in stone at this time of year and schedules are flexible until released.

There is talk of Fantasy going off the Port Canaveral station for a while in summer 17.

We did three of the NYC cruises when the Magic was in Manhattan in 2012. The 8 day Bahamas cruise, the 2 night cruise to nowhere and the 5 night Canada cruise. All were great and we really liked the Canada cruise.

We also were just on the Magic for the EBTA and the first port stop was NYC on May 18th. That was fun. We were able to offload some non needed clothing and other things (our son met us at the port as we live about 20 minutes from there). And, we were able to bring some adult beverages onboard that were also delivered by family members!!

It was an overcast day but we still had a good time.

The last pic I love because our friend took it from his office window as we were leaving NYC. Funny as he did not know we were going on the cruise but knew our love of DCL so when he saw the Disney ship he immediately called us and asked if we were onboard. We said of course!! and he sent us the pic. Love it as it is in front of the new Freedom Tower.

I do hope they come back...

I've been checking prices/demand since opening day..
And most of the inside cabins have been sold out since opening day.

One or two have popped up, but are quickly scooped up.
I hope this shows disney that a cruise sailing from New York or New England would be a great addition..

Also the reason they didn't come back to New York was b/c the taxes and port fees are MUCH higher!
Last April we did a 7 day cruise out of PC on the disney Magic we paid something around $350 for my family of 4
We we booked the same cabin out of New York it was just shy of $700! :scared:
