Nutella

After seeing some of these recipies, it seems like my eating a few spoonfuls is the healthy option!

WOW!!! That sounds amazing. In the ingredients list, it says the nutella is divided, but I didn't see where in the directions.

You don't really have to divide the Nutella out. You just need to make layers so you might want to divide it into two but its not necessary as long as you know to use half for one layer and half for the other layer (see photo).

I love Nutella. Discovered it in my teens when I was staying in Germany -- yum. I rarely get it because my kids devour it. But, when I do get it I like to make crescent rolls with a dollop of Nutella in them. double yum

Oooh that's a great idea, and so easy! I may have to try that.

I'm trying to lose weight so I definitely don't have a spare jar, in fact, there is no Nutella in the whole house

I buy this rarely, b/c I will go to the cabinet and get spoonfuls until the jar is empty. My kids love to put it between cookies or make sandwiches with peanut butter & marshmallow fluff...we do use wheat bread, lol.

I bought some once on a lark and loved it! I would come home and spoon some of the stuff on toast or with strawberries or if I was keen enough, some cookies. I figured "Hey, it must be healthier then a cinnabun." The husband could not see my fascination with the stuff so one day he wanted a snack and I went to make him some toast but got the nutella and made a toasted sandwich. He took one bite, his eyes went big and all of the sudden he wolfes it down. Now, I have to keep getting the stuff.

I am thinking of hiding my own jar.

I bought a jar of Nutella this morning. I had forgotten how yummy it is! It reminds me of the filling inside those cylinder shaped wafer cookies that come in a can (the flavor, not the consistency).

Okay you naughty people...Somehow I've lived 51 years on this planet without trying Nutella. Well, of course I had to buy some....O M G!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I might need a twelve step program!

Google Nutella & see photos of someone drinking it from a large jar & another person laying in a bathtub full of it.:rotfl:

Have IT, love IT!

I spread one piece of bread with Nutella and one piece with peanut butter, put slices of banana, close, put a pat of butter in pan and grill on both sides, very yummy sandwich.

Giada, made a smores recipe with it. I don't know how to do a link. But I guess you could find it on the Food Network website, Its good too!

Bought my nutella yesterday...mmmm its so good!!!

Its creamy, super creamy. Its a hazelnut spread.

It's not chunky at all. It's kind of the same consistency as peanut butter, but not as sticky. Just a real thick, creamy spread.

I get mine from Hy-Vee or Target, and it's usually around $3-3.50 a jar or so.

Thanks! Sounds like something I might like to try.. I love nuts (the flavor) - but can't have them, so this sounds like something I might enjoy.. I've added it to my grocery list! :goodvibes

I did it. I bought some- so dangerous. In fact, shhh...I think I hear it calling me now. It's saying to bring a spoon!:rotfl2:

So, did you buy it because of us and this thread?? Have you tried it yet? Good, huh?

So I wonder how many people have tried it because of this thread. :)

Sort of...I had a sample size of it once. There have been a lot of commercials for it lately and dd asked about it. The thought was already planted in my head from this thread, too. I ate some yesterday with animal crackers. So, yestreday I ate oatmeal, a bowl of Cheerios, a salad, and a 1/4 of a jar of Nutella with animal crackers.:rotfl2:

Me. I bought it the day this thread was started! You people are a bad influence!! So far I've only had it on a waffle and straight up. But this weekend I'll definitely be stuffing it into some kind of dough and frying it!

To the poster that said they put it on cresent rolls-thank you for the inspiration-i got a can of pillsbury cresent rolls-spread about a teaspoon or teaspoon and and a half of nutella on the dough-rolled them up and baked them-presto nutella crossants-Yummo. :)
