Nursing graduation gifts?

SIL is graduating from nursing school next month and I could really use some ideas for a gift.

Any nurses out there who received something they loved, or thought was unique, or practical, etc.?

I received a precious moments nurse figure from a dear friend. I still display it. I treasure it highly.
I also received an expensive stethescope that I would probably have never bought myself.
GC to a uniform shop.
I would have loved a massage gift certificate

I got a new Littman pediatric stethoscope, a new drug book, and a gift certificate to the New Balance store.

I'm graduating from nursing school next month too! Things that I know I would like, would be money ( major debt after school!), gift certificate to nursing uniform store, bookstore gift certificate (there are always new nursing book that would be great!). I'm really not to excited about getting little figurines that look like nurses or stuff animal with nursing hats etc., but that is just me, keep in mind the person you are buing for, they may love that stuff. I also liked crz4mm2's idea of the massage certificate! When your in nursing school it is like spending 4 years with no social life! You never seem to have time to yourself, so any pampering gifts would be great. HTH

My mom's a nurse and she thinks a nice stethoscope or gift certificate to a nursing store would be great. Scrubs and shoes get so expensive!

As for the stethoscope, after her good ones were stolen so many times, she bought one that has her name etched in the tubing, so it can't be stolen (without being obvious, anyway ) The Littmann stethoscopes at www.allheart.com are available personalized....maybe some other brands, but I know that's what she got. However, I have no idea how you go about picking one over the other....
