Nurses- question for you!

Any travel nurses? Visting/home care? I want to hear all about them! I thought I wanted to be a travel nurse, but just finished my VNA rotation and LOVED it! Now to choose.....I graduate in May so I imagine I will need a year at a hosptial before anyone will hire me to travel or do vna?

I absolutely hated VNA, home care not my thing
I have a friend who is a taveler..........she loves it, has been doing it for several years now.
right now she is at a major Boston hospital, living in a high rise apt furnished by the travel company.
yes, I think a year of med surg will do you well if you want to do home care.......its great experience.

What travel agency does your friend work for?


Thanks for the response, I am so happy to finally figure out what I want to do! Seems like my entire nursing class wants to be Maternity or Peds! I was feeling sort of nervous about not knowing what kind of nurse I want to be! I love working with the elderly, though, which came as a surprise to me. I really enjoyed VNA, and I think I would enjoy travel as well.
