Number Of Pieces Of Luggage Allowed?

Just starting to get things together for our 4/14 cruise. There will be 3 of us. How many pieces of luggage are you allowed to check and how many are you allowed to carry on?

You are allowed 2 pieces per person to check in. I have never asked about carry ons- we usaully carry on 2 per person( DD takes a backpack, I take my purse and a daybag, DH takes wheeled cooler and camera bags).
