This morning I noticed that the 2 studio categories at CCV also have a "block". It happens to be December 31, 2019 - NYE. The Walk in shower studio still shows it where the 30th is available but the 31st is not. Then it's available again on the 1st. At 8am this morning the other studio category was the same - actually one or both had the 29th and 30th available but not the 31st. Since that time someone has taken up the availability on the 30th for the one studio category that has the tub. I then wondered if the Marathon weekend was early again and race week modifications were managing to affect it but no, it's not until the following week. Something's up there too and what a night to do it - NYE.

Yeah race week if someone bought the guaranteed weeks with race week even right are allowed to adjust them. Yesterday only the walk-in was showing the behavior you noted. But I guess the tub is now.

It strikes me that walking is a by product of the current rules, but there is no guarantee that walking will work. Only that you can book your home resort at 11 months out for up to 7 days, if available. This is the way I would expect it to work. If a villa is unavailable or out of service for a day or days, I would want them to make that decision before the 11 month window if at all possible so that I did not get bumped from a reservation I made at the 11 month mark.

I just got off of a VERY Lengthy call with MS for the 4th time. While they admit something odd had gone on back in August, they cannot help with what is going on now at AKV and suggested I email MS with screen shots. I told her I need to talk to IT, geek to geek. No go. They'd rather live with a huge issue that impacts all owners at AKV than permit me to help someone directly or to open up a bug report.

Yeah, but they don't and won't. And they still get a room and usually some sort of compensation if it's an upgrade or otherwise. More than likely this actually means that someone else is just going to luck into them if they do come back into inventory and the ones who were there for first come/first served will have booked something else.

It was another MS CM and her supervisor. They kept trying to tell me that becuase they could pull up a value one bedroom as available in september that there was no issue.

After frustration with trying to get an answer by email I received a call from someone in Member Relations. At first she tried to say that people were just booking before me and then went to explain about walking (I told her that I have a 9 night stay in a Value Studio in October...I know what walking is lol). When I mentioned that they aren't showing between midnight and 8 am on the 8th day she got quiet. Her response then was that they either were pulled for maintenance or there was an IT glitch because MS doesn't have the ability to book that far out.

That’s what they “suggested” when I got to calling. They said Jambo rooms are all being refurbished. I explained DVC rooms weren’t but they hinted since the refurb includes hallways that might be why. Maybe it’s true who knows. But it happened at CCV now.

Makes sense really. Those value rooms are surrounded by non-DVC rooms so if they are doing extensive rehab it might be easier to pull them than to deal with complaints.

The category has been missing since Dec 3 (from multiple reports and what I've watched) so I just thought you meant since it was missing. Sorry.

I’ve called Disney our directly for after the 19th and emailed every day/morning they have been missing telling them it’s not possible.

Disney could have easily booked that with their 2% ownership stake.
