Number of People Per Room

Hi Everyone:
I am sorry if this is not the right place to pose this question....but I'm wondering if you can have more people than what the room says it will sleep. For example, almost all of the one-bedroom villas at AKL sleep 5. We have 6 people in our party. Could we make this work or not?

I'm really new to the DVC portion of Disney. Thanks!

The official occupancy for studios and 1 BR with the exception of many of the rooms at AKV, is 4. DVC has routinely allowed on over if under 3 and fairly consistently allowed one over regardless of age for a 1 or 2 BR (5 or 9). But it's not 5 or 9 plus a 2 y/o. I think for 6 you will need a 2 BR and from a space standpoint, you likely will as well.
