We are going in Oct for DS4 and DD2 first visit, we haven't been to Disney since our Honeymoon in 97. I have our rooms, park and airline tix. I pretty much know where were going to eat, just have to wait for my 90 days.I have my tour plans pretty much set up. Still batting around MNNSHP for the 30th(sept). What else do I need to do before setting up PS.I am not a planner in my everyday life but love to plan our vacations. My wife is the everyday planner but leaves all travel up to me. Am I missing anything big here???? :confused3

It sounds as if you have your act together homedad!! Are you using the magical express option offered by Disney, if so you may need to make those arrangements or other towncar or rental car plans. As for MNSSHP I would make this a "must do", it is a lot of fun and the parade and fireworks are truly unique to this event. You know you may also want to start debating the whole EMH thing (if you are staying on property) you can spend days on here trying to figure out if this is worth the effort. Have fun in your planning, it's one of the best parts of the trip :earsboy:

A lot has changed at Disney since your last trip and this time you are traveling with kids. I would say browse these boards and allearsnet.com to familiarize yourself with all the changes and to help plan your trip for traveling with young kids.

Maybe a good idea to work out which parks you will visit on which day based on croud levels. Then you will know which restaurants you will be near each day in order to make your PSs. Then a list of "must see" attractions to see at each park and work out a rough daily plan. I also went into training at the Gym so I didnt get too tired with all the walking lol.

I think you have most things "ironed" out. So, I wouldn't think you have too much more to worry about until your 90 day PS windows start arriving.

I try to make my touring plan around my PS, that alone can take a couple of days/weeks to get right, especially if the PS you want is booked. Alternate plans are always a good thing.

I too book my "tour" plans around my PS and any behind the scenes tours I might be taking....and as Sally said...that can take days or weeks to nail down. I've been working on my itinerary for months now (then again...the pre-planning is just as much fun for me as being there...I like creating surprises for my SO). I think as of this past Friday I finally have it set for when we go in 2 weeks, but that is STILL subject to change as I read new things on DIS
