So now the family says hey lets do the deluxe dining plan yikes more work to do I am just so confused. How I should split the credits I know I don't want to do 3 table services a day, but I know I want to do a 1 credit and at least one 2 credit a day would that work well 6 nights/ 7days. thanks for any help!

deluxe works best for us but this time we are on free dining and only upgraded to the regular, which i feel is a strain for us to miss out on character breakfasts. I like the idea of a QS lunch though, so i dont think i'll miss that, but breakfast yes!

We dont have kids but we love the character breakfasts! 1900 Park Fare is so quaint and they have lobster eggs benedict! Crystal Palace has pooh and friends and is just as cute as 1900 and has puffed french toast. Donald's safari in AK is so cute too and has cheese blintzes. Boma is nice but doesnt have characters but has good french toast made w/ raisin bread. Sooooo, my suggestion is to do some breakfasts! That'll help use the credits. Also, early ADR's are great b/c u can get in the park before the park opens. THAT IS COOL! Oh we also did the character at DHS but didnt have anything memorable on it.

If you are lucky and have parks w/ late EMH then it's easy to space out 3 meals. On a day that ends at 9pm though, it's harder. One way is to stay in the park til 9pm and then get an ADR at a resort around 9:45pm.

You can always use the TS as a QS for lunch, although not a good value on the plan.

We did some 2 TS as well and liked them. However you have to dress nicer than you would for the parks and they take longer to eat at. It also means a higher tip. You could do Cali Grill and watch the fireworks from outside their balcony area. Artist's Point was my DH's favorite. Narcoosee's was nice but the lobster was tough and sourish. You could eat at Jiko, i hear that is nice.
Yahstmans Steakhouse was great.

You could also do combinations like a breakfast, a ts lunch, late ts dinner, and another day do breakfast, qs lunch, ts dinner, and then breakfast, 2 TS dinner.

enjoy it and it's tons of great food!

Another way to use up some of the TS credits is to book a dinner show: HDDR, SoA or Mickey's BYBBQ. They all include the tip which will help a little and they are all 2TS credits. CRT is another one that includes the tip and is also 2TS credit.

I know I couldn't eat 3 TS meals a day. I'd have to do a breakfast and then a 2TS credit for dinner. I'd use snack credits for lunch if needed.

Calm down it can be done easily. You will love it!!!
We prefer to use our snack credits for breakfast, 1 credit early lunch and then 2 credit signature dinner. This works very well :thumbsup2 If you are big breakfast eaters just switch breakfast & lunch. We did 9 nights DxDP last trip and will be doing the same in December.
If you have any more questions I would be happy to help :)

What you're thinking is probably the most common use of credits on DxDDP, 1TS breakfast/lunch with a 2TS dinner. It's what I planned for many of my own days and is the common consensus around these parts as a good way to spend credits and keep from overstuffing yourself.

A key thing to keep in mind though is that to break even on the DxDDP you should plan to spend at least 2/3 of your credts at TS locations. Once you reach this point (generally) everything else will be "bonus". This may help free up your planning a bit, as you can still easily save money without having to worry about maximizing each credit at a TS location. Of course, the more TS you do, the larger the savings become, but it doesn't really matter once you break even :) Saving $50 or saving $200 is the same when you only pay x amount. Do what works best for your group and enjoy.

We did the DxDDP...

It was fun. It was fun to plan. Here's what I would do differently if ever we spring for it again (DS was a child and would now be an adult as of next year).

1. If you stay at a deluxe resort...remember ROOM SERVICE...two credits without having to rush to an ADR, without having to shower and dress...:thumbsup2

I had planned the last meal of our trip at our resort, Artist Pointe at WL and was thinking that was such a good plan, but seriously, we should have just eaten room service.

2. Mix up the equation. We usually did a "brunch" 1TS meal and then a 2TS dinner. It gets old. Generally, your dinner ends up being at a resort. You aren't in a park. And for us, because it was Signature, we wanted to shower and dress a bit nicer for our meal. To do this EVERY night, got very old.

We DID have one day where we ate a 1TS for dinner. It was so nice to be able to stay in the park... And we ate at the Brown Derby for LUNCH, which was one of the BEST meals we had but again, we had a signature dinnner...

We only ate 2 CS meals on our trip... they were among the nicest meals we had. We had good atmosphere where we happened to eat and it was so nice to have a meal where we weren't continually being interrupted by the server. Let yourself eat at CS meals, even if it isn't the biggest bang for the buck.

3. Don't be afraid to repeat a TS. We didn't, and quite frankly, it got me thinking about how we travel when we go to a place other than Disney. We normally end up eating at our resort much more often than we ever do at Disney...
