I know that I will be in the minority on this, but I see nothing wrong with it. In fact, I think these chips could prove invaluable in certain situations. I guess I'm not real paranoid and don't feel that "Big Brother" will be watching my every move if I were to get such a chip. I've known several instances in which it would have been wonderful if the people had been implanted with chips. I knew a teenage girl who went missing. To this day, they have not found her body. They did find evidence that she was murdered and the individual that did it hung himself in jail. From the evidence found, she was kept alive for several days before he killed her and hid her body. If she'd had a chip, they might have been able to find her in time.
Last year, an elderly woman disappeared. The woman had a slight case of dementia. They eventually found her frozen to death in her car. She apparantly became lost and ended up off the road in a remote area.
I'm sure the families of both these individuals wish they had had a means of locating their loved ones.
DD and I have talked about the possibility of having chips inserted. We'd do it for our dog. Why not for each other?
