Now, to me, this is scary......microchips implanted in Mexican Judicial Workers

I know I'm being funny, but I would never allow anything like that to be put in my body. I would be in constant fear that I accepted the mark of the beast. Go ahead, make fun, but I would be!

The first thing I thought of were the service men and women who were missing. It would be wonderful to be able to pinpoint their position.

Other than that it is close to the old Mark of the Beast thing with a little big brother thrown in for good measure.

These chips have been used in Mexico for years for people with fears of being kidnapped. (My husband worked with that company many years ago) There was a whole article on them in playboy a month or two ago. (I'm the one in the family who reads the articles.

Me too!!! ewwwww

I know that I will be in the minority on this, but I see nothing wrong with it. In fact, I think these chips could prove invaluable in certain situations. I guess I'm not real paranoid and don't feel that "Big Brother" will be watching my every move if I were to get such a chip. I've known several instances in which it would have been wonderful if the people had been implanted with chips. I knew a teenage girl who went missing. To this day, they have not found her body. They did find evidence that she was murdered and the individual that did it hung himself in jail. From the evidence found, she was kept alive for several days before he killed her and hid her body. If she'd had a chip, they might have been able to find her in time.

Last year, an elderly woman disappeared. The woman had a slight case of dementia. They eventually found her frozen to death in her car. She apparantly became lost and ended up off the road in a remote area.

I'm sure the families of both these individuals wish they had had a means of locating their loved ones.

DD and I have talked about the possibility of having chips inserted. We'd do it for our dog. Why not for each other?

I think technology could provide us ways of monitoring peoples locations with intruding on our bodies. We could get pins to wear on clothing, or something to clip on our belt loops, or even tracking through cell phones, plus any number of other options. Granted, it wouldn't help in every situation if the device is not carried on you in some capacity, but it's a much better option IMO than invading our bodies. I can see the whole Christian community (and rightfully so) in an uproar over this issue if it would ever be forced on anyone here in the US.

I always say I wish they had a chip that could be put in my daughter so that if she went missing she could be found by it! I wouuld have NO problem having them put that in my child...

Don't you guys understand that this is the slippery slope to surrendering all freedoms & allowing complete governmental intrusion into our lives? So sad...:(

Wow, and wow. I can't believe ANYONE would even remotely consider supporting this sort of thing. This is so wrong on so many different levels, I'd have to sit here and write for a week to start to cover it all. Wow.

I just see it as normal progression into the 22nd Century. By then we will be using DNA or something else to be identified. No cash, no cards, no more forms to fill out, no keys, etc...

I'm so glad our family isn't the only one. We would never even think about putting a chip in our pets let alone ourselves.

Leaving you with a few verses

Rev 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshiped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Yep...like the promise that our Social Security number would only be used for Social Security. It starts innocently enough...then once we get used to the idea the government sees how much more they can control our lives. I love how my driver's licence now has a bar code and a magnetic strip. Makes me fell all warm and squishy inside.
