Since we purchased DVC in 1999 we are finding that we are going sevral times a year to WDW. I keep saying we need to vacation somewhere else but we keep going back. We are just so addicted to our home. I was just wondering how many of us go much more often now. Please respond to the poll. Have a good holiday weekend!

That's us in a nutshell. We go 2 or 3 times a year and can't seem to get enough. We have our 2nd trip for the year in 2 weeks and the 3rd will be in December for this year. I am already having withdrawls for next year as we have a Hawaii trip and are doing the 14 day repositioning DCL in August so it may be a whole year before we get back. I don't know if I can handle that or not.

We aren't in the survey. We go three times in a year to take advantage of AP's. Then we don't go for a period of time of between 6 months and another year. Then we buy AP's and do it all again. That's why if Disney ever gives a really good AP discount for DVC owners, we will probably end up going more often.

We have to get super creative because of our small contract (75 points at OKW), but we've been able to squeeze a couple of small trips a year because of our close proximity to the parks (we live in South Florida) and our 'FL Seasonal Passes'.

Plus, we try and stay away from those weekend points...those are killers for us! :teeth:

We bought OKW then Disney Vacation Club in 1992.Part of reason for that when we bought you got free park tickets on each visit until the year 2000.::yes:: :wave2:

We averaged every other year, prior to buying into BWV... then we went every year...then we bought a VWL add-on...now we go twice per year.

Prior to DVC in 1993, we took our children to WDW about every 18 months.

Since 1993, we have now worked up to about six visits each year, plus a trip to HH. Of course, our schedule is very open since we no longer have children at home to contribute to our schedule- and with 4 grandchildren now, we have 4 more reasons to go to WDW frequently.

Enjoy!

From 1995 through 2003 we averaged 4 trips each year. Due to busy schedules we haven't been to WDW since our last vacation in early December 2003. I never would have guessed how much I would miss our OKW home away from home.

Our schedules will be back to normal soon and visiting OKW will be back on the calendar...I can't wait.

3 to 4 times per year is the norm. I voted the lower end category of 2 to 3 times per year.

Prior to DVC we went to WDW about twice a year. Since DVC it's been up to 3 times per year. One long trip and a couple of short ones. We balance WDW with a non Disney trip each year.

Was going once per year prior DVC. It looks like that will change to twice per year, if I follow the schedule I have worked out for the future!:)

We take 4 or 5 trips a year on points, but only 2 or 3 are to WDW. We love HHI!

We do exactly what HBC does. Three visits within one year to make the most out of our annual passes, skip a year and start the cycle all over again. I agree with HBC, a discount on our AP's and we wouldn't skip a year.

To HBC and DisnutDave: are you saying that you would buy more points if a good discount on APs was given, or that now you have unused points? I guess I'm confused how APs would increase the amount of time you'd spend at WDW - I can see how it might make your visits more "regular", but not how it would increase them.

Before DVC I would say we went every other year. Since we bought into DVC we go at least yearly and some years have more visits. I love my DVC!

We've gone about once a year, sometimes twice. AP DIScounts could increase that now that DS is in college. It's difficult to believe that the airlines are losing money with all of us DVCers.

DT: I have unused points. I have rented out points in each of the last few years and would do so a lot less. I would also space out the trips a little more so that instead of jamming three in, we would space it out a little more so that we didn't feel it had to be done in that 1 year period.

We drive down in Dec from Ontario Canada once a year. We go for 2 weeks at a time and it still isn't enough.

Prior to DVC it was pretty much every 3-4 years. After we bought we had planned on every other year, but we just took advantage of the great incentives and bought an extra 130 points, so now it appears to be at least twice a year. Hmmm, and I am reminded how I said DVC would save us money. Thank the good lord we bought DVC. :D
