How long before they have to take down their signs?

You ain't kidding! I was driving around town yesterday and wondered to myself how come, if all these people care as much as they say they do, they don't take down the signs that are now litter?

When I was a kid, I'd help my parents take down signs for their candidate as soon as the polls closed. I remember my mom telling me how important and moral it was to clean up the landscape and remove all traces of the contest prior to the next morning. I miss the 'good ole days!' sigh

The winner have to take the signs down within a few days. The losers are permitted leave the signs to degrade in the weather. :)

:lmao: Nice!

There is a set amount of time they are supposed to take things down, but of late, it seems places are being more and more lax about that concept. If it drags on too long, you can always call the people at the voter registration office to see if they can lean on the messy candidate.

I know a lot of people assume that it is the candidate's responsibility to pick up signs from the yards they placed them in so the land owner doesn't always pull the signs so that takes some time. Shoot, my dad ran this time around and his district spanned 4 counties - he's tried to get all of his stuff cleaned up, but he hasn't made it everywhere yet.
