Now that Extra FPs Can be Made by Phone...

I'm getting ready to make my FP selections for our upcoming June trip, and the fact that we can make extra FPs by phone from another park has me second-guessing all my plans. It mainly affects my AK/MK day. I was planning on making all my FP selections for MK. My kids will be arriving right after lunch, but my DH and I will have to have an afternoon break so we won't be arriving until probably around 4:00. So I was thinking of making 7DMT around then, BTMRR around 5:00, and Splash around 6:00. This will leave no room for extra FPs. Should I make them for AK instead? I just know I won't get 7DMT though if I do that. What to do?

There should still be FPs available after 6:00. We generally make ours between 11:00 and 3:00 and still manage to get 8 to 10 more at the kiosks.

But finishing at 3:00 and finishing at 6:00 is a lot different. I'd just like to try for Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, and/or Peter Pan. But the park closes at 10:00 and we want to see MSEP and Wishes so we will need to find spots around 8.. The crowd calendar is a 7 that day. I just feel like there won't be anything left at that point. Too bad the new system is not in place tomorrow. Am I right in that once that starts next week you can pick initial rides at two different parks?

Something else to keep in mind is that the easier it is to get extra fastpasses, the faster they will go.

No, with the new FP system, your initial selection of 1, 2, or 3 FPs must be for the same park.

After you use or cancel your initial selections, you can choose an additional FP for any park via the app.

I guess I will need to stick with FPs at MK. I don't want to miss 7DMT with my family. I've ridden it twice already, but my kids haven't ridden it once. I just wish we could make the FPs for earlier, but darn you, old age! We must have our afternoon breaks!
