Now that ECVs are $$$, are there enough wheelchairs?

I'm just wondering. My mom has used an ECV in the past due to needing knee replacement. She's had the surgery done and is like a new person. However, the other knee needs to be done, and she feels fatigued after lots of walking and standing.

She does not really want to have to rely on an ECV and definitely does not want to go through loading/unloading on the buses. Are there still plenty of wheelchairs to rent? She'd be more comfortable parking a wheelchair and walking around an area than leaving the ECV.

Any advice? TIA!

The Disney prices have gone up by about 29%, which is their first increase in several years. In other words, the daily price has gone from $35 to $45. True, the refundable key deposit has gone from $5 to $20, but you get that back so it does not really count.

So, are there many, many wheelchairs available, or is the number becoming more limited with people wishing to save $$ and go with those over the ECVs?

I would have to say there is probably plenty.

We were on the WDW Railroad almost 2 weeks ago and was coming between Tomorrowland and Main Street and looked out the right side of the train and all around the back of one of the buildings were WC's. Hundreds of them, probably 200+ of them. I would guess thye won't be running out. Most days there were still ECV's avail all day as well. Probably because it wasn't really that crowded, but I expected them to be gone by that time of day.
