Is anyone else as relieved as I am that their money can finally stop "flying" out of their wallet!?!? :faint:

Oh, I really am looking forward to getting back into the "saving money" mode!

Yes! I'm ready to save instead of spend, and cook instead of buying fast food/eating out!

Well- I'm ready to put the money towards finishing our remodeling. We had to put it on hold since September (1/2 way through and not very pretty) to pay for the holidays. So, I'll be glad that the money is going towards finishing that up instead.

Add me to the list! I always feel like the money just disappears at this time of year. Two more family gatherings and I'll be done! It will be a good feeling to get back to my normal spending routine.

Add me to the list too! I went a little overboard with the cash and credit card. Now is the time to start putting a little cash off to the side and getting some overtime for extra cash to use towards our Disney cruise at the end of 2006. :earseek:

I thought maybe I was the only one... Im sooo glad that Christmas is over so that I can get back to my normal life and start paying off some bills.. Dont get me wrong.. I love Christmas, but it is so stressful ..

I work opposite to most people, I shop ahead when stuff is on clearance so January is actually one of my biggest shopping months. I usually end up buying alot of my kid's winter wardrobes for next year (I'm in the south, they start clearancing winter stuff pretty early). Heck, I may actually save money while we're at Disney since I won't be able to hit the clearance racks :rotfl:

 yeah....after birthday partys one for family, one for her friends, Christmas, new years eve party, I'm tried of spending money......

I too buy more way before christmas! I love the after holiday sales and the summer sales at disney. My kids already have their summer bathing suits/shoes and coverups from santa- all ready for some warmer weather! :sunny:

I just shopped the bargains for dd's 6th bday that is coming up in Feb. didnt spend much at all between the gifts and glamour gifts for her little friends for her glamour party!

I will still be spending, just not as much. :rotfl: I'm waiting on the big clearance discounts on winter clothing. I like the "purchase and put away" method- my family gets really nice stuff w/o the wallet suffering too much of a blow. ;)

I shop for Christmas year-round, but my motto for 2006 is to Take Back My Money!

Basically, I'm going to work on paying down my credit cards (realistically, there's no way I could pay them all off this year unless I hit the lottery). I want to get them paid down and then off so that my paycheck is mine and isn't constantly going to pay credit card companies. On my salary, I should be able to save a nice chunk of change...except that I have too much debt.
