the queen mary 2 and queen elizabeth 2 were both in town earlier this week. in addition to the shots of the ships, i also took the opportunity to shoot at the quay and one of the heads on the harbour. it was hard to get around as about 120,000 people or so went to the quay, but suze, sevara, and i managed to get a great spot for the fireworks. i didn't take any of the fireworks - instead i held up sevara and we watched and commented on it together. she liked the 'blue popcorn' and 'purple starfish' ones the best
QM2 steams past Bradley's Head early in the morning
sunrise from Bradley's head
QE2 eases into Circular Quay
QE2 at the Quay
the lemmings left their shiny metal boxes
many people watched from the Opera House
while thousands of others watched from the coathanger
people brought friends & family along - many wearing something to be noticed.
one lucky guy even brought triplets with him...

hub's father and family is from the Crossville/Spencer areas and they said that's the "Thing" to do there.( could just be their thing there but then they must have a bunch of local relatives
want to post about some nice mt photos since we didn't get that far down last trip?( stopped at Asheville area)
A lot of people seem to like to do it
Don't know why though.
