the queen mary 2 and queen elizabeth 2 were both in town earlier this week. in addition to the shots of the ships, i also took the opportunity to shoot at the quay and one of the heads on the harbour. it was hard to get around as about 120,000 people or so went to the quay, but suze, sevara, and i managed to get a great spot for the fireworks. i didn't take any of the fireworks - instead i held up sevara and we watched and commented on it together. she liked the 'blue popcorn' and 'purple starfish' ones the best

while thousands of others watched from the coathanger

people brought friends & family along - many wearing something to be noticed.

Where at , it you don't mind me asking? We are in the Pigeon Forge/ Dollywood/ Sevierville area.

do you honk your horn when you go through tunnels??? stuck in traffic for an hr in that tunnel coming out of smokie mt n. park once and everyone laid on their horns the entire time hub's father and family is from the Crossville/Spencer areas and they said that's the "Thing" to do there.( could just be their thing there but then they must have a bunch of local relatives) very pretty area( although we usually stay on the Cherokee side), just won't make the mistake of going in summer again want to post about some nice mt photos since we didn't get that far down last trip?( stopped at Asheville area)
this is between julian price and grandfather mt somewhere.( not that great either but limited shots due to rain that trip)

We went to a Japanese festival yesterday. There were a TON of people there, to the point where it was hard to walk at times muchless take decent photos.

I dunno why but this is one of my favorite photos. I know, the composure isn't perfect, but I like how it came out.

My DH likes to honk the horn and I like to smack him when he does it. A lot of people seem to like to do it Don't know why though.

We saw so many interesting people. I wanted to go back today but we didn't make it.

I'd love to know when japanese type dressing went goth. *eeek* and a lot of folks dressed up in anime type clothes. More then one person street walker type clothing. Maybe thats the thing in Japan? I did not take photos of folks like that. LOL Quite an eye opener thats for sure!
