It was a *very* large tree that I held the camera against to keep it steady for 1/6 second! I took a number of these and most look pretty good. Even over 100' away from Bridal Veil Fall we were getting soaked!

Allow me to entice you with Canon 17-55 f/2.8 IS so you don't have to carry that very large tree around with you :teeth: (I personally prefer a tripod because it's more portable than a "very large tree", but different strokes for different folks! :rotfl: )

I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who enjoys this photography stuff!! Everyone's pictures are fabulous!

Here's mine for today. It's from the China Pavillion in Epcot.

But trees are organic, and sustainable, and ... ok, so I forgot my tripod. ;) My lens was a 24-105 IS but I didn't think that would be good to 1/6 so I went for the treepod.
I really need to upgrade my 10D so I can use the -S lenses, canon is coming out with some nice ones.

All of these pics are beautiful! I'm new to the photography board and just bought myself a Canon Digital Rebel XT yesterday. So, I'm sure I'll be posting on this board in the future to ask you experts a question or two. Also, hopefully, to be posting some of my own photos.

In the meantime, I'm enjoying viewing all of the great shots! :thumbsup2

Thanks. I wish I could say I meant to do that, but there were too many people down below to get the full shot so this is what I took. A happy accident.

So here's something I snapped yesterday on the nature trail walk:

Here's one I took yesterday of a child's grave in an old cemetery who passed away in the late 1800's and someone still takes the time to put flowers out.
ISO 100
1/200 shutter speed @ f/4
No PP except to covert from raw to jpeg and resize.
