NOW post and share your digital pics!! Great photos inside:)

Sorry!! :rolleyes1 Let me explain by saying that I LOVE ANIMALS. Actually, I used to work at the zoo here in Jacksonville. As soon as I saw the baby elephant I just started looking at this cute baby elephant, his little ears, legs, tail, and the WHOAAAA!! :scared1:  Just thought it was funny.

Neither did I. :rotfl2:

For these pictures did you use point and shoot? Your pics are very nice. My camera is old and i may be replacing it soon. I need a camera that is easy for a point and shoot since i am camera illiterate when it comes to all of the settings.

I use a fuji finepix s5100. For basically a point and shoot I love it!! If you want to see some of the pictures I have taken with it here is a link.

Which OS do you use on your Mac? AFAIK the version available can only support OS 9 but not necessarily OS X.

I have the imac G5 -- OSX 10.3.9 -- have complete upgrades as they have came--

I also found the option but is in gray -- not black -- still tinkering with this

I still prefer my 35mm but I'm trying to learn a little more about digital photography...my camera is a compact so it doesnt compare to some of the others out on this site but heres one of my favorites ...

Brack, why did you resized your pic to stamp sized? Kinda hard to see now. Just make sure the width is about 800 pix and you should be fine.

I was playing with the size function in PhotoBucket and brought it down too far. Unfortunately when you downsize in PhotoBucket you can't upsize. So I'll need to delete the small one and repost a larger one. Having said that my post looks large today. I'll check it out.

I think I have this all down now --- now to tinker some more and post some pics :thumbsup2

Thanks Kelly Grannell!! :thumbsup2

I liked it. It showed good reflexes to get the riders and the background offsets the foreground very well. Good job. :thumbsup2

Thanks! Yes, I did use point and shoot - brand new camera, and still trying to get the feel of it. I chose the Canon S2IS after hearing good things about it here, and reading other good reviews.

i too am a real novice when it comes to all the different settings, etc. but hope to learn from the kind folks here. Photography has been hobby of mine for some time, definitely point and shoot - but now I am looking to take it more seriously!

Living close to WDW gives me the opportunity to practice, knowing that in most cases, I will be able to get a similar shot again at least of the everyday things at the parks

I would crop the top part a bit and also the arm of the 3rd racer on the right to give the effect of these 2 guys winning the race and also for the more-crowded effect. LEt me know if you want me to demonstrate that.

We are both in the practicing stage with our new S2IS. I can't wait to get to the Beach Club on Friday to practice some more!

Looks like maybe you are going to be in the "World" this weekend too!

Your "kids" are gorgeous. My furry family are usually less than cooperative when the camerea comes out. I was trying to get a pic of one of my dogs last night, sitting close on the sofa, and she licked the lense instead!

Have fun!

Thanks for the suggestions. I didn't think about it but it makes sense! How's this?

Do I need to take more away from the top?

Thanks for your help, Kelly! BTW, you seem like an avid photographer. Do you shoot as a hobby or for a living?

Well, semantically I'm a professional photographer, but the inputs I gave here are based ony my hobby, not professional work (which is boring, doing products and fashion photography). I used to teach beginner's photography for several years too (aimed toward P/S and Bridge camera crowd entering the dSLR world)... but I got bored of that too!

I guess I get bored too easily :)

Very cool! Although I'm a newbie(in every sense of the word), I still enjoy photography very much. I don't know if I could do it for a living but this is a hobby I thoroughly enjoy very much! If you don't mind, I may pick your brain from time to time as well as ask you to critique my photos. My biggest problem is working with lighting or available lighting. I imagine this will come through time and practice...
