So we have a very tiny back yard, but I try to make the best of it. We have this gazebo that I *love*. It's my little refuge. The minute that it's nice enough (above freezing) I start feathering this little nest of mine and I strech the season as far as I can push it (this time I pushed to far) I put IKEA curtains in it, had really cute lights strungs up all along the inside supports, little frogs here and there. I love this space.

Well, we've been focusing on getting a place for the RV to "hibernate" this winter, (we had to get it out of the driveway so we could park our cars off street - didn't wanted to be competing for parking spots with the students for the winter) emptying it out and getting parked before the big snow storm yesterday. We accomplished that!!! Yippee! Except...we forgot about the gazebo...At some point yesterday it just couldn't take the weight of all that snow and it just collapsed on itself - with everything inside.

I was crushed (no pun intended).

OMG no...Wait till you see the after pics. I think the stuff "inside" will be ok (except for the curtains, and the lights, and anything fragile...)

DH feels terrible and promises to get a new one in the spring - so we can still have tea

Dh just reminded me of the time we had a windstorm blow the Gazebo over the fence and upside down in an unfriendly neighbours' yard Can you imagine. We look outside the window and there is a 10x10 structure missing out of the back yard...

Dh also pointed out that he made sure that this Gazebo was properly secured to the ground this time. "See Rhonda, it's still staked to the ground..." Thanks honey

Not only do I live in Boston, but I am CANADIAN - I know all about snow - so does DH so no excuse really...

My neighbours across the street are now calling it the Gazebo Sagas...(they helped us get the previous one out of the not-so-nice peoples yard)

It's snowing again today...Looks like another 8-10 inches on top of the 10-12 inches we got on Friday. Kids are hoping for another snow day tomorrow (I hope not - I *NEED* to get present wrapped!!!)

Oh - I will gladly contribute to the collection to get AWM and PN96 here for the NEW Gazebo Tea Party
