Now It's Iowa!

There were ten tornados in Iowa. Forty homes destroyed in Strafford, just north of Des Moines. At least one confirmed dead. This has been another really bad storm year!

We were fortunate. The closest one to us was 6 miles away. The local TV stations did a great job of keeping everyone informed.

OMG! I haven't heard about this! I better turn the news on! This weather is really freaking me out! With all of the hurricanes & now the tornados. It's really strange.

I'm glad you were not affected. Having lived in Kansas City most of my life, I have a great respect for tornados.

Crazy Year!!!

Tornados in the mid west and indiana are not common this time of the year. Actually the gulf coast, MS,LA,AL,TX are entering there tornado season which is NOV-FEB but the big tornado season for them is march/april which was really bad when we lived there last year. As my dad still is working/living there now, we made sure to remind him to keep his weather radio near the bed now for the next several months.

Then can believe the 27 Tropical Depression just formed!!! Could become Tropical Storm Gamma tomorrow.

What is going on with all of these natural disasters!? Better get our earthquake kits in order. We live in Southern California!
