So I'm leaving in 6 days for Orlando. So I've already penciled in April 22nd as the day to be at Animal Kingdom. I just KNOW there'll be a mystery pin...right?

They release it TODAY!!!!!! Why??????

We've been seeing a new mystery pin every few days and what do you want to bet that from April 18th to April 25th there will be ABSOLUTELY NOTHING come out.

This hobby sucks if you don't live in Florida.

They used to be called mystery pins, now they are called surprise pins. They come out suddenly with no warning in a very low edition size (usually 1,000). Sometimes they are available for a day or two, but more often they sell out within a few hours of their release. The one that came out today was as Island Mercantile at AK. You can check tomorrow and maybe you'll get lucky. It's very cute.

As one who lives here in Florida where it is 40 degrees right now I have to run to WDW every other day now to get those cotton picking pins, and we have had 4 mystery surprise pins in the last two weeks.

I have to drive there to get them.

I have to pay the ridiculous amount of money for them.

I have to put it in my book and drag it around with me, and it gets heavier and heavier.

And I have to put up with whiny crybabies that want to trade us rack pins or Disney store pins for LE1000 surprise pins because they don’t live here and don’t get a chance to get them.

I’m the victim here!!! where are my queros huh!!! going out day and night buying pins to send up north because ohhhhhhh heaven forbid it’s a Donald and you know who loves Donald. Or it’s a stinkin Mickey with Donald and we all love those now don’t we.

Ring ring ring my cell phone goes off all morning long…did you hear?did you hear? Mystery pin at Animal kingdom... Hello kids I have a job and a life sooooooooo…..

Uhmm heh heh never mind I’ll trade you one, you got any rack pins or Disney store pins.

Sad thing is the most of the ones buying them down here, are buying them just to slap it up on Ebay.

So I’ll have 2 up there in 5 minutes if you want it that badly

Just for the record.......... I live in Florida and I don't get the mystery pins. Having to drive 3 hours north on a weekday is just as prohibitive as living outside the state.

Yes Raul, you made me smile. You always do.

And for the record, I do not expect anyone to trade me a surprise pin for a rack pin. In fact, it's not even the pin I'm mad about. It's the excitement and fun of being there when a surprise pin comes out. It's standing in line for hours and having non-pintrading guests look at you like your insane. It's standing ankle deep in a Florida rainstorm while you wait an extra 40 minutes for them to open the pin cart you went to, when Nat and Sandy have already visited two other carts that weren't affected by the rain. It's coming back to CT with pins that your friends are thrilled with. It's just BEING THERE!!

Cynthia I'll tell what I'll do I know some people that will let me into your room at 4:00AM I'll yell surprise pin and hold a rack pin in your face. I know one thing you’ll be surprised and it will be your very own surprise pin.

P.S the next surprise pins are Monday when all the pintraders leave at 4:00pm, and Thursday at WDW at 6:45PM 15 minutes before they close the park next to June and Bobs brick.
