Now I got a SSR email!

Got the foldout today in the mail and tonight I get an email regarding SSR. In the email it says for a limited time you'll receive a comliemtary Disney vacation when you pursahce. Vaction must be taken by 1/31/04. No mention of using a $10 credit instead. Wonder if this is the same thing everyoen has been talking about?

I still am not getting member emails. I have contacted MS on several occasions, but have not received a single mailing from them. I sure would like to know what's happening at SSR. Thankfully I can rely on the DIS boards to get my info.

I think this email came from WDW instead of DVC. Another perosn posted they received this email, too offering the free disney vacation when buyng SSR.

Can you share some details about SSR? My guide is on vacation until the 12th. I know about the $10 credit but not about the developer pts or the free vacation.

floridafam, no incentive info on mailing. Very vague, says to call your guide.
I only know what I've read on here. I was curious about this free disney vacation email I got. It was from WDW, though I think instead of DVC. So it might be the same deal as the developer points.
No add on yet, still working hubby, plus I'm still torn about VWL and if we should get on the waitlist for an add on there instead. If we do that we'd only add 50. I also think hubby would easily go for that. He wanted to buy at VWL to begin with. With 50 we could bank and borrow as needed to get 11 month window. SSR we'd add 100 cause we might as well to get the incentive deal.
Despite all the negative posts about SSR, it just seems silly not to go with the extra contract date since we're in our early 30s.
Plus I think the pool might be pretty cool. I'm big on the pool with themes and slides. But then again I think it will always be easy to get SSR 7 months out, VWL not so easy.
