Now everyone wants to come!! Any ideas for LARGE group??

I have done several large 19-30 people gatherings. We always start off with Dinner at chef mickeys and get a group picture. Then midway thru we go to Cape May Buffet at the BC followed by pleasure island or Jelly rolls at the BW. Last night we do Ohana;s. Have always been seated together. alot of us do the fatasmic dinner pkg eating at Momma Rosas. Since I will have two grand villas and one two bedroom unit this time. Eash unit is responsible for planning and cooking or catering one meal . Other than that I make several smaller reservations for different groups that want to eat in Epcot WS,. If they show fine if not I'm not out anything and some one usually takes the ressies. One night those that can take it do the one drink around the world at each location. must have a drink native to the country. Most people drop out after 5 but the winner has actually hit them all. I would be better able to do an eat around the world.

During the day we have a loose schedule that we follow but we don't wait for anyone..if you sleep late then we either meet up later or see them at the pool at noon as we all like the midday break to relax and sit and chat. Our family gets along really well so we have always had a blast. Since alot of us are Disney experienced we won't wait in line for anything longer than 15 min so we are never overheated or over tired. We follow a very relaxed pace. This year I'm going to try and get two boats for the illuminations. THe best buffets and the cheapest are the ones mentioned above especially if you aren't going off site. Spoodles at the BW is also set up for large gatherings and the service is very friendly but the food is not to everyone taste ,...I personally love it but the picky eaters might find it to ethnic. If you remember to plan things that don't cost you money to reserve you will not be angry if plans go awry as they sometimes do.

Oh, yes--I am already wanting an add-on and we have been members less than 3 months :)

I would love 100-150 points at VWL--but I at least want to wait until our SSR is paid for--should be in a year or so.

Luckily I have 2 years worth of points to plan this trip because my inlaws are taking us in March to stay at the Poly.

Dreamfinder--I think we have definitely surpassed that "critical mass" point, but since my 3 kids will be the youngest there, we are the ones with the most "potty breaks", etc. I do think it would be hard to traverse the parks together. Of course, it seems that every time I've traveled in the summer I see tour groups of 50+ who manage to do so

SandieB-- I LOVE the idea of having pizza delivered to the pool and doing a meal there.

Who delivers to the WDW resort area?

And I do think Chef Mickeys would be a great way to kick-off the trip.

Chainkid--your post cracked me up! With 11 children coming--9 of those under age 7--I don't think Jellyrolls or drinking our way around Epcot will be on the itinerary this time :earseek:

How great it is to be a part of DVC and be able to host 24 people at WDW???? Some of our family members would NEVER have gone if we hadn't invited them.

Actually, it is my oldest DS5 who sells everyone on going to Disney--you should see his face light up when he talks about our last trip.
