Now a Trip Report!!! Will We Stay or Will We Go? A Thanksgiving Pre-Trip/Trip Report

weather.com this morning is showing the 17th through the 26th with temperatures in the high 70's and low 80's and very little to no chance of rain the whole time. That's pretty much what we had a few weeks ago, and it was perfect. ENJOY! :dance3:

Yep, that is what I saw this morning as this was the first day I could see the forecast for all of our park days. I hope it holds up. Even accuweather.com which was showing rain for just about every day next week has changed and only shows a little on the 26th.

Will be thinking of you on Friday when you leave. Mainly thinking how we won't be far behind you. :rotfl:

In case I don't get another chance to post on your PTR, have a great vacation. I hope you make lots of priceless memories. :cloud9:

Here's to all of us going next week having a great trip. Happy Thanksgiving.

:yay:

3 more sleeps!!! :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

2 more sleeps now!!!!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::banana::banana:

You are so close!!! :banana:

When I woke Hannah up this morning I said "Today is Wednesday. Tomorrow is Thursday. Then Friday!" The smile on her face got bigger and bigger until I got to Friday and then she let out a squeal. OK...so did I! LOL She was pretty quick to take another number off the calendar this morning too! LOL

I was so glad to see the chance of rain decreasing as it got closer to our trip. I know they really need the rain though. I'll be sure to keep the ponchos in the bag this time because as soon as I leave them in the room it'll pour down rain! I told Clay this morning that the temps were going to be in the high 70's to mid 80's and I got a "told ya so". :rolleyes:

:yay:

Getting close for you too! Hope ya'll have a good flight down and that you get lots of pixie dust on this very special trip. I KNOW ya'll will be making lots of priceless memories. :goodvibes

Clay made it home safely from Texas. I was worried about his flight because we had some pretty bad thunder and lightning in our area last night. He told me this morning that there was some pretty intense lightning on the way in. :eek: I'm just glad he made it home safe. Yesterday was our 8th wedding anniversary and I *thought* we'd agreed to not get each other a card. He told me "Happy Anniversary" on Monday night in case he forgot on Tuesday. One year we BOTH forgot it was our anniversary! :rolleyes: LOL He remembered on Tuesday so told me again. Imagine my surprise this morning when I see an envelope with my name on it. It was really cute. Guess who didn't buy a card? Yep....that would be me. *sigh*

Clay actually emptied his suitcase this morning. Usually when he comes home from a business trip his suitcase will sit downstairs for days (I absolutely refuse to touch it) before he empties it. The washer and dryer will be running non-stop for the next two days. I need to go over what I've already packed and make a list of what still needs to be packed. I'm debating on whether to do the unthinkable and not bother with cleaning. :eek: It's just too much in too little time and I don't want to wear myself out. But, on the other hand, the dust on top of my chest of drawers is driving me insane! LOL One thing I'll definitely do is sweep and mop the kitchen floor but other than that I just don't think I've got the energy for it.

Hannah's class is doing Flat Stanley. When I told her teacher about our trip she mentioned that Hannah could take Flat Stanley with her. I sent her an e-mail the other day to confirm and she said that she could do that. Yay! Good thing Flat Stanley can be smuggled in to our room because I can't afford to pay for another person. :laughing: My plan is to go around WS and get pictures of Flat Stanley with a CM in some of the countries then have the CM tell Hannah something about their country. I'll have her carry her notebook so she can write it down. I want to do the same thing with some of the Santa's. We'll see if that happens or not!

Tonight I need to have Hannah pick out some movies for the trip as well as pick out what stuffed toys she wants to bring. Last night she said she wanted to bring Mickey, Minnie, Tramp and Quilla, her Webkinz cardinal. She's got several Mickey and Minnie's so not sure which ones she was talking about. She said something about taking them in to MK with her and I said "Oh no you're not!" LOL I may send Alison a text and see what movies she wants.

Well, that's about all that's going on right now. Just counting down the hours and minutes now!!! :woohoo::woohoo: :woohoo: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Hi jill, according to Accuweather it should be perfect for you, have a great trip.

Thanks! :goodvibes

How's Emily's ankle? Thanksgiving trip on or off?
She's going to the doctor tomorrow. Maybe she'll get the crutches of then but definitely not the cast. She hasn't been using crutches at all. I've caught her numerous times just walking holding the crutches in her hand.:confused3
The Thanksgiving trip is off. I'm not in love with the idea of her walking around theme parks with a cast. I'm sorry about the meet.

As expected, Clay worked late last night and he informed me he'd be working late tonight too. From what he was telling me of his day yesterday I have a sneaking suspicion he may be doing some work while we're there. :sad2:

He'll have his laptop and I'm also taking the extra laptop. I've pretty much decided to pay for internet access while we're there so I'll try to post live updates whenever I can.

Hannah's homework took f.o.r.e.v.e.r. last night. By the time she finished her homework, ate supper and had a shower it was 8:00. Bedtime was 8:30. I did a load of laundry and went through the girls suitcase to make sure I've got everything packed for them. I was armed with pen and paper so I could write down what's already packed and what still needs to be packed. Got everything packed for Alison and just need a couple of things for Hannah, which will get packed tonight. I didn't make it to the suitcase for me and Clay so that will be done tonight. I did manage to at least pull some shirts and t-shirts out for Clay which are all in a pile in the floor at the moment. Funny story from last night: as I was going through Clay's t-shirt drawer last night I saw a piece of paper under a pile of shirts. I opened it up and it was a receipt from our breakfast at Hollywood & Vine on the last day of our trip two years ago! I'm taking that as a sign. :laughing: :laughing:

Hannah took another number off the countdown calendar this morning. It looks so lonely with that lone "1" still hanging on.

WE'RE LEAVING TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry we won't be able to meet but hope things go well at the doctor tomorrow.

1 MORE SLEEP !!!!!!!!!!

:goodvibes :wizard: :cutie: :cool1: :thumbsup2 :santa: :woohoo:
:dance3: :banana::yay::drive::bitelip::hyper::car::dancer:

1 of almost everything!!!!!

Safe trip. Have a great time!!!!

If you are taking an extra laptop, pack an extra LAN cable. Your room will only come with one cable. You should be able to plug 2 in to the router/modem.
The other option is bring a wireless router but the extra cable works just fine. Housekeeping can bring you an extra one but when we had to do that we got a bit of a hassle from housekeeping.

Clay may have one with his laptop. If not, thanks for the tip! If I can remember I might ask for an extra one when we check in....TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!

So exciting! Have a magical trip!!!

Thanks Anita! :goodvibes You've had some excitement today yourself!

Have a great trip. We are on our way tomorrow, too!

Thanks! :goodvibes Safe travels to you. If you're in Epcot on Saturday Alison will be wearing a white t-shirt with black fleur-de-lis that says "New Orleans". Say "hi!" if you see us!
===========================================================================================

Well, the packing is done and I've got a load of laundry that's probably ready for the dryer now. I'll start another one when I go to bed and run the last load after Clay and I have had our showers. I've got the small stuff downstairs already. Clay's going to have to bring the two big suitcases down because I've got so much stuff in them I can barely move them! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: If I've forgotten to pack anything then we must not need it!

I at least got the kitchen cleaned up tonight and Fred (my Roomba) is running in the living room as I type this.

I'll be running to Wal-Mart as soon as Hannah gets on the bus to get snacks and drinks for the ride down. Clay is going to get a hair cut tomorrow. Hannah and I watched "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" and the other Peanuts Thanksgiving show (the name escapes me at the moment but it's about the Pilgrims coming to America) tonight.

Please send pixie dust that there are no glitches with our departure. I'm really nervous about Clay's Ex. She likes to throw a monkey wrench in any big plans we have any chance she gets and I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop. I hate being so cynical and am hoping that this time will be different. Ya'll, of course, will hear all about it if I'm right! :laughing: :laughing: And I'll be more than happy to let you know if I am wrong too!
