November weather

Hi everyone!!!

So we've been in May, August x2 and September. We have booked November (10-19) this year, so we can do the MVMCP. What kind of weather can we expect? Still shorts and summer clothing (we are canadian)?Will we need leggings, sweaters etc? We try to pack as light as possible since each bag is $50 to check, so we don't want to bring a bunch of stuff we don't need. So...fill me in please!!!

My husband and I usually go early-mid November and we find the weather is great!! (Also from Canada) we wear shorts/tanks, find the weather is great for pool days!! Just bring one set of longer pants and a sweater as there can be pretty cool days. Hope that helps.

We are from Texas and I am also interested. We went last year the first week of March and I was so cold the first couple of days.

November is one of the highly variable times in the area where for a week it could be 85 degrees for the high, a cold front can move through one day, and then the next couple days it can be 60 degrees for the high. It really depends on the timing of cold fronts. I'd say pack for and expect highs during the day ranging from 60 to 85 and lows at night ranging from 45 to 65.

November is a great time to go! The day is around mid-80s but the night can get a little cool. I pack a little of everything..Shorts, pants, and a jacket..Again during the day is good for pools but at night it can get chilly (but the pools are heated), It normally doesn't rain everyday like the summer time

I second the highs and lows we went mid nov.2013. Wore shorts and a polo every day.One nigbt watching illum. I had to buy a sweatshirt (I planned to anyway). As far as packing extra clothes....wear them on the plane ..lol..(option)

We go early to mid November every year. As PPs note, it can vary. Shorts for day, jeans/chinos at night. Our strategy had been to avoid bringing heavy clothes, and mostly that worked out. The times it did not work out netted us some awesome Disney gear, including 2 coats, several sweatshirts, and some hats. LOL. But that's over a 20 year period, and the stuff is fun to have later (overpriced, but still fun). We now wear sweaters and coats on the plane (we're from New England), and stick a light wool type hat in outside of a bag. On average we never have to have to pull them out again all trip.

We have gone a few times in Nov. More often than not, we have found it to be somewhat chilly - pants and jackets (for the morning only, then we ditch the jackets). We haven't been able to swim for long because the water is too cold for the kids.

Having said that, our last trip was two chilly days and two warm ones! Plan for everything but cold...

Going the 12th-20th of November this year. I'm used to the gorgeous weather I've had with my October trips. This will be my first time going to WDW in November since my first trip, when I was a little kid. It was freezing that trip. I was wearing a down winter coat with fur trim on the hood in all the pix I had. I try and be a light packer, only bringing my carry on and backpack as my personal item. I think it's just so much harder to pack when you have to be prepared for 20-30° swings.

Agree with the "it varies" answers. Some years it was almost summer like, others closer to winter. Those cold fronts can swoop down and make it too cold for swimming for a number of days.

We were there last year in mid-November (going again this year at the same time) and the first few days were shorts and t-shirt weather, but one day a cold front moved in (only rain of the trip) and wow, highs in the 40's and 50's, definite sweatshirt and jeans weather for the rest of the trip.

We only had three days in November (10-13) and it was 85-50. The 50 day felt like 30 LOL we were not really ready. This November I will bring some leggings and be more prepared.

We have been several times in November. Rarely needed a sweatshirt, and pretty much never pants, but I guess it could be hit and miss.

It's been pretty cool at night the past few times we were there but other than that the weather is awesome

It can really vary. We've experienced both extremes in mid-November. Last year, highs were in the 50s and 60s which may sound tolerable, but we were bundled up. And we're from Buffalo! It was overcast so no sun, which didn't help, and the outdoor rides whipped you through the cold which made it worse. To be fair, I believe some of these days were record cold so I don't think it's typical.

The year before that, we experienced highs in the 70s with a day in the 80s. Warm enough for shorts and t-shirts, but touch and go for swimming IMO.

Canadian you say? I'm from Michigan and November is our favorite time to go. I recommend a pair of jeans and a light jacket/hoodie - we needed them one day out of our week long trip.

Love love love November! When we went it was cool at night and in the early morning. We would wear shorts, t-shirt and zip up hoodie. By afternoon, we would not need the hoodie. It was so incredible for park touring, just beautiful. It was warm enough for swimming in the afternoon. I would take November over the unbearable heat and humidity of the summer. I would pack a pair of jeans, or wear a pair down so you have them. We packed light and did laundry half way through the trip.

We've gone a number of times during November and it's definitely variable. One year it was like 45 at MVMCP and we froze. The next time we went it was almost too warm in a sweatshirt. So it can be long-sleeved shirts and jeans or shorts and t-shirts, all in the same trip. We pack for all contingencies, just in case.

Another vote for counting on temperatures to vary. Our family goes the 3rd week of November (the week leading up to Thanksgiving) and have had days that ranged from high 80's to 50's and even mid-40's some nights in the same week. It is usually more warm than not, but we can never seem to get through a trip without long pants and a light jacket or heavy sweatshirt at points.
