We are doing a cheap one week trip in November and staying one day at the Fort. We will be staying in the Wyndham Cypress Palms in Kissimmee, which is 10 minutes from WDW and 10 minutes from the Alehouse – two great places. We have a 2BR timeshare with a full kitchen, jacuzzi, washer, dryer, two pools, wifi, flat screen TV, hot tub, screened porch, etc, etc, etc. It’s a block off 192 on a lake and supposedly very quiet. We got it for $329 for the week. Jim, I’ll give you a review of AFVC after the trip.

I have an AP that doesn’t expire until November 30th and we have 4 days in passes for DW from previous trips. For $80 each we got Universal passes good for 7 days at both parks so we’ll spend a few days at Universal for a change and maybe go to Sea World on one day since tickets there only are only $60 at SoG.

We also have a reservation midweek at FW for one night -- I want to sleep there – DW will probably sleep at the condo. Maybe I’ll rent a cart to go looping, but we’ll play that by ear. Early November isn’t a high demand time so I can probably get a cart on short notice.

I have a full size car reserved for $103 for the week plus tax -- the rates have more than doubled since I made that reservation. The only expense that will be high will be airfare. We might have to spend $250+ round trip. Airfare cost us $160 in January. SW won’t come out with airfare for November until June, so that’s still up in the air.

So for about $1,100 plus food, we can go to WDW for a week, stay in a luxury condo, stay a day at FW and go to the all the WDW parks and Universal as well. I’ll probably never be able to do it that cheap again. Color me happy.

Woohoo!!! When I was a kid we used to go to the Fort for 2 weeks, and EVERYTHING was only $1000 bucks. Oh how times have changed...lol

Well, I couldn't wait for 2 months for SW to release November airfares, so I just booked with Airtran for $192.50 RT each. I was worried about this because airfare is likely to go way up. Flight schedules are reasonable too. Total for a week now is just a little over $1,000.
