Our trip begins at the travel lodge in folkestone which we stayed in overnight on the Sunday. We get up early and have breakfast at 7 ready to head to Eurotunnel for our train at 8.50. We arrive at the checkin at 8 o clock only to find out that the travel agent had not booked us on the train.
So they let us through and we had to go to information in the terminal building. Nightmare as we were a little concerned, as it was getting close to the time we should be going. Anyway information desk were great they got through to the Thomas cook signature and they confirmed that we should have been booked on there but obviously the person who sorted it was a bit of a wally and forgot to do it for us. Luckily there were 2 places left so we all managed to get on. So we were off arrived at 10.30 french time and set off for the drive to Disney. Arrived at the Sequoia lodge at 1.30 to be greeted in reception by Goofy. Checkin in was busy and we were finally in the room by 2.30. Decided to unpack first and then head to the park. Hotel room was nice have to agree with Jill in that i feel the rooms are a little tired looking and could do with a touch up. Maybe once they have got the 15 year celebrations out of the way they may tidy up the hotels before the 20 year celebration!!! So by about 3.30 we arrived at Disneypark, just in time for the Once upon a dream parade. We had a great view right in front of Main Street Station. I know a lot of you wont agree but i have to say i was little disappointed with the parade, sorry. Having been at christmas for the past 3 years i really missed the christmas music and just the whole feel of the parade, although all 3 children thoroughly enjoyed it. With the parade over we headed up main street and took in all the decorations and lights and thought it looked lovely. By the time we had done that it was getting on for 5.30 and the children were hungry. So we headed to Billy Bobs for an all you can eat buffet. I really enjoyed it, food was nice and being a veggie there was plenty for me to eat. After tea we headed back to the hotel where we found a seat and had a couple of drinks and then headed off to bed for an earlyish night ready for a full day at Disneyland Park tommorow.
