November ressies w/December Use Year

What's the best way to handle making a November ressie with a December use year?

DW & I like to go to the F&WF in November, but there may be a case where we have to cancel at the last moment. So if we go next year, if we borrow against the 12/05 points and we cancel, will the points we borrowed expire on 11/30/05?

Yes, your borrowed points will expire at the end of November if not used.

Whenever you vacation in November you'll be in the same boat. When booking with current year's points, they expire on 11/30. When booking with borrowed points, they are moved to a different Use Year and still expire on 11/30.

If you ever look to add-on, consider a different UY for the new points.

It is easier to pick a use year if you always travel at the same time each year. Our plan is to do summer sometimes, spring break sometimes, Christmas sometimes, you get the picture. SO, we did not worry too much about use year. We have 2 contracts, one is December UY and one is August. I would be concerned also if you feel you may have to cancel, but that is just the risk you take. I'm sure we may be in the same boat sometime too. Good luck deciding what to do.
