I know that there are sooooooo many of us that have
gone on the Disney Pin Event cruises in the past and
have been on cruises in general. BUT, there are some
new pin friends joining us and I thought I would put
up a couple of tid bits to try and make sure that everyone
has time to make any necessary changes before there
final payments:

1) Please make sure that your names are spelled
correctly and that your name you are using is
your birth name that is on your documentation
that you will be using to show your citizenship.
(Example: If you have gone by the name Jack
your entire life, but your BIRTH NAME is John!!!
You need to make sure your documents show
John and not your nickname).

2) Please make sure that if you are not a U.S. citizen
to check with Disney Cruise Line direct 800-511-1333,
your consulate and immigrations to make sure you
have your correct documention to travel on a
CRUISE SHIP.

3) Make sure that if you have ANY MEDICAL issues that
you not only carry with you a original doctors note,
but that you give your agent a copy to send to the
medical department of the cruise line for their files
and that it is noted on the manifest.

4) We think it is also a great idea for the younger children
that are travelling to have a security picture i.d., not
only is it good for the parents to always have, cruise
or not, but it is an additional picture i.d. to go along
with their original birth certificate.

5) Your proper documentation to carry should be your
cruise documents, a picture drivers license (believe
it or not, some states have drivers licenses without
a picture on it), original birth certificate or a valid
U.S. passport (**You MUST have 2 forms of I.D. -
either a original birth certificate & a picture drivers
license or a U.S. passport & a picture drivers license).

6) Please always try to arrive at the pier on the day of
sailing by noon. But try not to be later than 2:00PM.

7) Make sure to check ALL YOUR PAPERWORK that your
specific group leaders give you. This way you will
know when and where your activities will be held and
you can make your other plans accordingly.

8) Make sure to fill all perscriptions at least 2 weeks
prior to sailing so you are sure that you will have a
good supply and that you do not forget to bring them
with you. (Medical Notes are very important to carry
with you.

9) Any parents that are travelling with children that might
have a different last name (from a previous marriage)
it is EXTREMELY important that if you have duel custody
of your child that you bring a original notorized letter
from the mother or father of that child allowing you to
take them on the cruise ship.

10) Some guests might be worried about sea sickness,
PLEASE!!!! check with your doctor and pharm. and
ask what options you have (some people are on
perscription medication), but it is always godd to have
something with you then not to. But everyone is
different and make sure you check before just bringing
something over the counter.

11) Very important is to make sure that when you are
parking, the person who goes to park the car, needs
to have their cruise documents and their picture drivers
licesne with them so they can come back across and
board the ship. Some guests will drop off their family
with their luggage and then go to park the car. The
driver once again, needs to have their cruise documents
and their drivers license to show that they are sailing
and can go thru security to come back across and join
their family.

Well as I think of anything else that might help or make
things easy for everyone to be ready to go and ready to
have a GREAT TIME!!!!!! We know we are all looking forward
to it!!!

Take Care and have A GREAT DISNEY DAY!!!!

I just called Disney cruise line and explained my situation, and just because I have a Cuban passport and I’m listed a citizen of the communist’s republic of the Soviet Union as a communist card carrying member. I cant stand in line and wait to board the ship I have to be escorted in first so I can sign my 1 piece of paper then I’ll be stuck on board ship with nothing to do but wait for all of you to go through security and then get on board I mean I like diplomatic immunity and all, but come on I’ll be like so bored waiting for you all.

Can’t we tell them I’m an American so I can wait in line for 3 hours with the rest of you?

Ed,

Are you really being escorted on because of citizenship?????

Or is it that DCL knows you are sailing (LOL) :) hmmmmm
I dont know???? What do you think Donna???? :)

I think they have video of our last cruise and they just
might have you picked out of a group and gave you
the citizenship excuse, we are not so sure :)

We wish we were up there, starting to have our WDW
withdrawls!!!! Hope everyone is doing well!!!!

Take Care
Dana :)

P.S.: Oh, by the way, HRC 2002 is in the shape of a BAT :)
It is from the Ft. Lauderdale HRC with dangle bats :)
