We have gone second week of December a few times. We love that time of year due to holiday decorations and events/ crowd levels/ and weather is less humid.

But...

It crunches our Holiday time at home as we usually end up missing a party plus less shopping days!!!

So we are considering the week of 11/17 (week before Thanksgiving). The crowd levels on touring plans look decent. WEather should be decent, right? Will all the deocrations be up...castle lights? Osbourne? CP?

Any other considerations...like typical discounts, etc.? We've always gone with either FD or Room Discount.

We live in Florida and we like to go in November because the heat of the summer has usually broken and then we can go again in January. We also like to go to the Food and Wine Festival.

We were there last November from the 2nd thru the 7th. MK had already been decorated, and the Osborne lights were starting on the 8th, the day we checked out.

There always have been discounts for this time period, we are hoping for them also, because I won't pay "rack rate". We do RO. We want to go either the week before Thanksgiving or the week after, but then we will be too late for the Food and Wine Festival. Decisions, Decisions.

The Candlelight Processional usually doesn't begin until after Thanksgiving. And the big Christmas tree in MK goes up after the parade taping in December. But I think most of the other things are going on when you plan to be there in November.

Can anyone think of a negative for the week before thanksgiving?

Nope. That's when my DW and I took our first trip and it was perfect. The crowd levels were super low, all the Christmas stuff is up, there is the MVMCP if you're interested and it's usually the week after F&W so all the people there for that aren't still around. It's a great time and I'd do it again many times. It's actually the week I was about to suggest.

I love going the 2nd or 3rd week in November! The weather is fantastic, the crowds are manageable and the Christmas decorations are going up. I think it's one of the best time of year to go!
