Hello Disney friends! I was hoping to get some personal opinions from you guys-- In your experience, do you prefer to visit the World in November or December? I'm trying to book my next trip, and can't decide which month to go. I know that I want to attend MVMCP :santa:, and ideally have smaller crowds. I keep reading that the weeks which have been the least busy in years past, are now getting more and more crowded. Any thoughts on the subject would be GREATLY appreciated! Also, is there a best day to fly out, you think? In general, are there particular days when one could expect lower airfares? Thanks so much!!

We were there last year from Dec. 10th - Dec. 16th. The parks were moderately busy, but not unbearable. We didn't go to MVMCP last year, but I went with friends the year before. The party was fun and we got to ride everything that we wanted to and really enjoyed the shows, the parade, and the fireworks. In 2008, I went with friends the week after Thanksgiving and it really wasn't that busy that week either. I think that you need to be prepared for crowds, but it won't be as bad as Thanksgiving week or Christmas week.

The airfare will be hard to predict. Both years, we tried to wait as long as we could for lower fares, but there's a risk that the airfare will go up instead of down. This week, there have been lower fares coming out but it's hard to predict what will happen next year at this time. Set your preferred price and watch for it by setting up e-mail alerts for fares. Then, just take the plunge when you are comfortable with the price.

Good luck!

Terri

We went the second week of November this year and couldn't have been happier. Our day in MK, we never waited more than 20 minutes for a ride. At the end of the day, we just walked on Splash Mountain twice and still saw the parade.:thumbsup2 The weather was also perfect - warm enough to be in shorts and tee shirts during the day, cooler at night but not freezing.

As for flights, I can't say. Looks like I will never fly again unless they chage the new "security" measures. :sad2:

Thanks for the tips, guys! I suppose November OR December…you really can't go wrong. I'll probably avoid Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks, but just see how the rest of those months run price-wise. I know that there are certain weeks devoted to special functions (like Jersey week)-- is there anything I should absolutely avoid? Flights, unfortunately, aren't posted for another few months, so I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed with that one! Thanks again :flower3:
