November No Buy! Special "Holiday Edition"!

1- Post office, $4.45. This was a stupid tax for me on purchasing the wrong item and needing to send it back.
2- Getting a haircut tonight. A little costly, but I only get my haircut about twice a year so I feel the cost is justified.
3- No buy
4- Caved and bought HBO for the month. Darn you, Westworld... so good.
5- No buy
6- Treated my brother to lunch (he paid a very big bill for me recently without me knowing until it was done and refused to let me pay him back) and bought Starbucks.
7- Bought two boxes of cornbread mix for one whole dollar! Ha!
8- No buy
9- Chuy's for dinner (but I do have leftovers!)
10- No buy
11- Bought a couple grocery items for grandma since she can't go out herself. She wanted to pay me back but I refused. $15 isn't going to tank my budget and she's on a fixed income.
12- DH and I went shopping. Fail. I did use a 30% off coupon plus a $5 off coupon at Kohl's though.
13- No buy.

Nov 1 - $18.09 Target
Haircut and color $84.00
Stop at grocery store $3.39
Nov 2 - $18.81 - flowers DD
Nov 3 - No Buy (1/18)
Nov 4 - No Buy (2/18)
Nov 5 - regular errands, groceries, picked up a few things for holiday gifts
November 6 - picked up a shelving unit, doing some organizing
Nov 7 - No Buy (3/18)
Nov 8 - No Buy (4/18)
Nov 9 - Stupid tax $17.71 - I am traveling for work and realized that I had forgotten some needed toiletries. So stupid. I travel a bit lately so I keep a bag packed, I pulled a couple things out of it and forgot to replace them.
Nov 10 - No Buy (5/18)
Nov 11 - No Buy (6/18)
Nov 12 - grocery shopping
Nov 13 - I had to buy new glasses, I used up my insurance benefits before they expired. Also jumped online and did some Christmas shopping. I have a great jump on gifts outside of the immediate family.
Nov 14 - No Buy (7/18)- I'm easily able to call it now. I am working from home and have ham and bean soup in the roaster oven. I am going nowhere, and happy about it. The rest of the week I will be traveling for work and everyday will more than likely be No Buys. I hardly ever spend a dime of my own money when I'm out of town for work unless I forget to pack something. I'll have to pack very carefully.

11- Bought a couple grocery items for grandma since she can't go out herself. She wanted to pay me back but I refused. $15 isn't going to tank my budget and she's on a fixed income.

I personally think that you deserve a No Buy day for this kindness. We make our own rules, I will bestow one of my No Buy days on you. princess:

New here, and I'm going going to try this. Probably on my most challenging week! Aiming for 7 days with the exception of bills/gas and I have a meeting at a coffee shop, but this will hopefully help me only get a tea!

Aiming for 10 no-buy days

11/1: $110 on after-Halloween sales (everything was minimum 75% off, so we stock up on bags/new decorations/costumes)
11/2: $50 on lunch for my department, it was my turn to buy for everyone.
11/3: No buy! (1/10)
11/4: $130 on a new Dooney & Bourke - but I had budgeted $250 into my savings for our trip in January to buy one, so this is like $120 in savings :rotfl:
11/5: No buy! (2/10)
11/6: Went for supper with friends, my boyfriend paid for us. I didn't really enjoy the food though, so I did spend $8 at McDonald's on the way home
11/7: No buy! (3/10)
11/8: No buy! (4/10)
11/9: Lunch $15
11/10: Lunch $8
11/11: No buy! (5/10)
11/12: No buy! (6/10)
11/13: Met some friends for supper ($50), bought a new dress at Hot Topic ($30)

We spent two nights camping in Biloxi, MS and ate in both nights. We had a Groupon (bought a year ago!) for a brewery tour and tasting and MyVegas rewards for free Sunday brunch. On Saturday we visited Gulf Islamds National Seashore (free) for biking and a little easy hiking. Then we grilled out before heading over to the brewery for a few beers and the LSU game. It was a gorgeous weekend!

Our flooding refugee house guest moved out over the weekend after three months of living with us. We're very happy for her and, if I'm perfectly honest, a little bit for us as well. It's nice to have it just DH and me again.

Going to stop tracking this month... between moving, Christmas and traveling for Thanksgiving, I think I'm spending almost every single day. Sigh. Will catch back up with you all in December!

Molly the Shi Tzu is doing her dead level best to become the most expensive pet we've ever had-blood work, liver function test and more pills.

Today definitely won't be a no spend day-gotta gas up the car and pick up a few ingredients for a pie I'm making for the Thanksgiving dinner at my father's assisted living facility this evening.
