Hi,
I am interested in booking a trip from around November 6th to like around the 14th. I picked those dates because my DD will be turning 5 on the 10th and I would like to be in WDW for it and I would also like to hit MVMCP.
Opinoins?
Advice?
You guys are my experts!
Thanks!

We go the weekend before Thanksgiving every year because my husband has a work thing in Orlando that weekend. It's not too crowded then.

I believe there is something that goes on with people from New Jersey during November. A lot of people go to WDW then, but I'm not sure of the dates.

I wonder if the Jersey Days are at Veteran's Day weekend.
That weekend is part of my problem!

Jersey week is usually the second week of November, when the NJ state teacher's convention is-all the schools are closed on Thurs and Friday of that week, so a lot of families take the whole week and go to WDW. We went when DN was in HS.

I LOVE November and December in WDW. I've been going during those two months for the last 8 years. The weather is lovely, most years I've been it's still warm enough in the afternoons for a swim but not so beastly hot that you're miserable in the parks.

We're big fans of the Christmas party, we're looking at going this December for the 4th year in a row. It's a fun evening with a great parade, and if you love the rides at MK you can get on them with little or no wait.

Enjoy!!

I agree with Fitswimmer. I've been there in Nov, Dec and had a great time. The weather is usually mild although I've sat watching Fantasmic in 45 degrees with just a light windbreaker. BRRRR!!! Last year MVMCP started the week (the week before Thanksgiving) we were there. We went the first night and it was crowded! I didn't expect that. That was my 3rd MVMCP. You'll have a great time!

So looking at my week I will probably hit Jersey days won't I??
Also, I read somewhere that the first MVMCP would be on the 13th but they won't confirm those dates until April. That makes me nervous!:scared: I would not go in November unless we could hit that party. We usually go in October for MNSSP.

We are going Nov 11-18. I'm taking 2 adult friends for their first time and tried to find a less crowded time. From my research before booking, I found that Jersey week is the week before - Nov 4-11. F & WF ends on the 11th, so we'll miss that crowd - I think the soap opera weekend is that same weekend at MGM. Yes, Monday is Veteran's Day, but I'm hoping most people are leaving that day and we'll begin touring parks that day. I was also trying to avoid Thanksgiving week.

Hope this helps!

That is very helpful! That week was one of the weeks they offered that 40% off promotion to a select few. Were you one of them??

We went November 8th-15th in 2005 for my 24th B-day. It was great! The crowds weren't bad exept on Saturday and even then it was managable. The weather averaged 75-80 degrees the entire time we were there and it only rained once for about 30 minutes. It was a wonderful trip and we plan on going back at this time of the year in the future.

This thread really helped me plan, since my dates were entirely flexible. We own timeshares and always stay offsite, so no codes for us. Maybe someday...

However, I'm treating these 2 friends, so cost is an issue. I have a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo that sleeps 8. Full kitchen (we'll eat breakfasts and a few other meals in), washer & dryer, etc. We can see AK from our resort, so it's very close. I only paid $60 for the week for the unit (using points, trading, etc) so it's a cheap way to go....
They are so excited!!

We love going in November. Jersey week isn't reallyt that bad even if the crowds are still hanging around the week you are going. We are going that week as well since we take DD out of school and we only need to use 4 absences because she is out of school on Monday the 12th for Veteran's Day.

We went Nov 4 - 10, 2006 and it was AWESOME. The weather was perfect (not hot hot at all) and the crowds were great. We did use FastPass alot though, but even without it, it wasn't too bad...except for Soarin and EE. Other than that, it really was one of the perfect times to go. We're going this year in October because we heard that's another "down time." Can't wait and hope you have fun!

I've almost always gone during Jersey Week because, well, I live in NJ and either myself or someone in our group was still in school. The crowds are not bad at all. I went this past November during Jersey Week and didn't have any problem with crowds or long lines. Do not let it deter you from going when you want!

Thanks. I am looking at the 9th to the 19th if I can get the cash together
to stay that long!

I am interested in this thread. We are trying to book a cheaper holiday to FL. November seems to be the cheapest time to go. I would like to go to WDW and the water parks. By reading this there will be times we can go to the water parks. Cheaper flights, cheaper hotel rates and it would be great to see MVMCP. We loved MNSHP.

Any tips for November will be great. We can only leave around 11th, due to my dh job. Unfortunately the first week it will be Thanksgiving :scared1: Fingers crossed it will be that week/weekend only the parks will be packed.
