November Fantasmic Dining Package Watch

Still not released:(
She said hopefully by the end of the week?
 
So, do they do phone reservations for Fantasmic etc on Saturday and Sunday too?
I'm assuming they do.
I don't want to get up before 6 every morning until the packages are there. But I don't want some lucky person calling on their first day to get "my" spot either. :sad1:
 
:headache:not a way to start off my morning!!

i was just told by a CM that there was nothing available and she assumed they were all taken. she wouldn't even verify this with a supervisor:confused3. i assume she didn't know what she was talking about bc of the previous post this morning indicating F! packages still weren't released. after waiting 20 minutes on hold, this is getting ridiculous

At first my CM this am just said, "I'm sorry, there is nothing available there, can a check a different restaurant for you?" So I asked her if they were actually all booked or if the pkgs still weren't loaded yet.

I explained about yesterday, so she looked at something dif on her computer and said, "Hmm. I think you're right. I'm not seeing any bookings for Fantasmic on that day yet. They must not be loaded." She told me she would let her supervisor know they weren't loaded yet and that I could try back late this afternoon to see if it had been taken care of.

Surely the superviosors knew about this already.

I don't understand what the hold up is. How hard is it to load the info into the system. They do it every single month for crying out loud.

I'm wondering if it's because maybe they are trying to finally get the packages available for booking online, rather than just by phone and that they're having trouble setting it up. Which could also explain the "enhancement" downloads that drove us batty yesterday.

Just a theory.

I was sure all day yesterday that the Fantasmic dinner packages crashed the system, but I thought they would be up today. I guess I was wrong!

I don't know if the problem is that they are making them available to book online, because I'd assume they would put all of the special items online at the same time (Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique, etc), but I haven't heard about any problem with anything else. :confused3
 
ok. i am officially done. i just called DD for the 2nd time this morning. i was told the F! packages were booked up for 11/2. the CM assured me this was true and not a matter of packages not being loaded into the system. she stated that she had called guest services this morning to verify this. she then told me that she had her supervisor right there and they were going to get an email out so that CMs would get the facts straight.

oh well. hope everyone else gets their packages. my towel is officially throw in!!:wave2:
 
How many do they actually offer per showing of it. I've been calling too and they keep saying not available yet.
 
As of 11:30 am, still nothing. FWIW, the CM did tell me that since they switched to the new reservation system a few months ago, the hours have been going in late and they've been having these kind of issues.
 
Does anyone know how many dining credits you need for this package? I have the free dining plan thru VISA for 11/28-12/5.
 
Hollywood and Vine, Mama Melrose both only use one credit per person. Brown Derby uses two.
 
Phone lines have been slammed today...yesterday had no waits all 58 times I called in and today I've been waiting from 5-15 minutes every time I call to find out there is no Fantasmic dining:)
 
Still not in....at least that CM knew about the issue and didn't spend 5 minutes looking and then tell be they were all booked.

I'm still trying:)
 
I think I have abandoned hope of the dining package. I just don't think I can call anymore. I started making a back-up reservation at Sci-Fi Dine In Theater & 2 of my kids thought it was the coolest thing so it looks like we'll be having dinner there and then getting in line for Fantasmic. I did write a letter to guest services to complain about the situation, but after 3 days of calling, I'm done. Good luck everyone!
 
Am I the only one still trying?

I did get 50s Prime Time as our back up but with there only being 2 Fantasmic showings during our visit I worry how horrible the wait will be if we forego the dining package.

I will still post as soon as they come up so if you guys want to check the thread instead of calling...I've been checking every hour or so:)

I think momw/aplan may still be hanging in there. I was trying for Sunday, 11/8 and I'm hoping that most of NJ will be back home and the crowds won't be so bad. I have a 4:00 reservation for dinner at Sci-Fi so that should leave plenty of time for lining up for Fantasmic. Sadly this could go on indefinitely. Two days ago the CMs were saying to try back in a 1/2 hour. I'm looking forward to hearing that you got your reservation - hopefully tomorrow morning - Good Luck! :cheer2:
 
I just called again. This CM was very nice and called guest services for me to confirm that they have definitley not been loaded into the system yet. Guest Services couldn't give her any estimate of what "date" they would be loaded in though.
Uggh. Looks like it's going to be a long weekend.

WeNeedKetchup -- We are trying for the 11/5 package but we are also NJ people hoping that the rest of the state goes home on Sunday while we stay until Wednesday:)
