40 days to go!! I hope they go fast. I feel like I have so much to do to get ready. I want to start watching Disney movies and listening to the fun CD's. I am so excited for Beauty and the Beast tomorrow.
Now I need to decide how we want to see WOC. I really don't want to spend a lot of money just to see it, but I know it's worth seeing. I don't know...what is everyone else doing?

We are doing the AG/WOC dinner. We are traveling with a 9 year old and a 2 1/2 year old. With the little one, I didn't want to wait in lines any more than I needed to and I heard the PS area is less crowded than the FP sections.

I'm getting soooo exited October is a busy month for us. I'm a huge Halloween fan and have already decorated the outside of the house and some of the inside. My birthday is this month, we had a kiddie Halloween party this last weekend, went to the pumpkin fair and corn mazes. Later this month we are going to the Redwoods to ride the Sleepy Hollow Train. Then there is the release of Beauty and the Beast on blue ray, my new computer will be delivered this week and of cours Halloween. On top of all this, I have to keep the house presentable, feed the family, go the the gym, and keep up on the boards

I've got a lot to keep me distracted this month, hopfully it will help time pass by a bit faster. Before I know it, it'll be time to go.

I can't wait for tomorrow when Beauty and the Beast comes out. I will be at the store first thing waiting. I have been waiting for it to come out in blue ray.

There is a $10 off coupon out there to use. Don't forget about that. I am extremely excited for Beauty and the Beast to come out tomorrow. Its my favorite Disney animated movie (hence my screen name). There was a Beauty and the Beast cake challenge on the Food Network the other night.

For WoC, I'm leaning towards doing the AG dinner for the 8PM show on Nov. 11th. By doing the earlier show we will have a lot of time to head back to DL to ride a couple of rides or just head back to the hotel and go to bed early since that's a MM day with a 7AM opening.

Well, we're already at 10 and that doesn't include the two days of driving.

Honestly, 10 is a very good number. That's what I started at! BUT when someone tells you to add a few days, I ask you, how can you possibly say no? With the addition of staying for Thanksgiving day we have now worked our way up to 14 days. I will enjoy everyday but even as much as I love DL I am pretty sure I will be glad to be heading home after a full 2 weeks.

I have been away for months! My last DL visit was in March
But we are going 11/21-24 staying at my oldest son's house
So excited!

Well then it is about time you got back over here isn't it? Another Diser at the park for Thanksgiving!

I don't have much else to plan at the moment but it is at least fun to come check in to see what everyone else is up to and share in the enthusiasm.

We are coming 11/7 to 11/13 and will be staying at VGC which will be our first stay at the villas since buying in. We have always loved GC and now we own a little piece of the magic!

Lucky you! I am so envious! I would so love to own my own little piece of magic. Maybe one of these days.... I hope you enjoy your first stay at the VGC.

Nov 20 & 21 here! Driving down after my friend's son gets home from school on the 19th, hitting the park all day on the 20th and most of the day on the 21st. Staying at the Best Western Park Vue. Sunday evening, we drive up to LA and are doing Universal on the 22nd and driving back up to Nor Cal on the 23rd! Whirlwind trip!

I've seen lots of good reviews for Ariel's. We are already going for the Princess meal so rather than go there twice during our trip I thought we'd go to WTC and give them a try for our first time. Good luck deciding what to do!

That's a good plan! Just stay busy through October and November will be here before you know it!
My worry now is getting the house decorated for Christmas so I don't have to do that when we get back! My DD is already reminding me.

Good news indeed! Love seeing that full calendar up! I am still wondering if the list of entertainment is complete. It seems like they do save some of it until the week of your visit.

Just starting to sink in how much I need to get done at home before our trip....and here I sit at my computer not getting any of it done. Oh well, at least I am here for a good cause, right? Must continue to garner information so that our trip can be the most magical yet! My DH was telling me AGAIN yesterday about how excited he is. He said he is looking more forward to this trip than he thinks he ever has. Then this morning my son asked me if I could direct him with to a summary of what all changes they have been making in CA. Of course, I was glad to provide him with a link. I think it is so cool that my son is now reading Disney forums!

After careful diliberation, contemplating, and coin flipping I've decided to book a meal for Thanksgiving day. I was reading how in the past the days after turkey day used to be extreamliy popular up to last year when everything flipped upside down because of blackout dates for AP holders. According to reasearch, the Saturday after Thanksgiving was the lowest attended Saturday all year.

Not wanting to leave things to chance and hope we get lucky with low crowds and getting something to eat without standing in a masive line, I have now booked a meal for each day of our trip in Disneyland (the two travel days are left open to whatever we so choose at DTD).

24th - Breakfast at the Plaza with Minnie and friends 8:30 am
25th - Lunch at Cafe Orleans 1:30 pm
26th - Dinner at AG/WOC 5:40 pm

I must say looking at the dinning with pictures thread helped with my choice for Cafe Orleans as did the Dis unplugged review of the resturaunt. From what I can tell, my family and me should be pleased with all my dinning choices.

I think you really can't lose by going ahead and making reservations. Even if you make the reservation you can always change your mind and go somewhere else but if you want to go somewhere and don't make a reservation you may end up waiting in line a really long time and in some cases maybe not get in at all. I like your choices.... making me hungry right now!!!

I agree! I like CO too. Going to be sure to get some of the Pomme Frites and a Monte Cristo to share. We tend to do brunch also and only eat 2 meals a day so we have a little room left for yummy snacks in the park. All our dieting goes out the window while on vacation!

You are a bit ahead of me but I am right on your heels! 32 for us today! Who's counting????? I bet a whole bunch of us!!! Planning is kind of at a stand still since there is not much else to do. I do need to print out hours and such as that. I made a quick attempt to print from the Disney calendar but it cut off the right part of the park hours. Anyone else notice that?

We have been having a wonderful last few days finding ways to pass the time. Since we homeschool we picked Walt Disney as a subject to research for a few days. I can honestly say that we have covered history, geography, vocabulary, science and reading. Has to be one of the most interesting people we have studied about in a long time! We have been reading from The Disneyland Encyclopedia: The Unofficial, Unauthorized, and Unprecedented History of Every Land, Attraction, Restaurant, Shop, and Event in the Original Magic Kingdom which is a wonderful book for any Disney enthusiast! Got mine on Amazon if anyone happens to be needing some new reading material. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1595800336/ref=oss_product Not only have we been learning but I am immensely enjoying spending some quality time with my son and absolutely loving the fact that he is so excited about our upcoming trip this year. He is learning all kinds of Disney insider stuff that he is going to be able to share with DH while they are touring the park. I also do believe this year he seems even enthusiastic about spending some time with us girls doing the rides that the "big boys" never seem to get around to doing. Gosh, it is going to be a fabulous trip!
Anyway, we've still been playing Disney clue frequently and we also got in a few rounds of Disney charades last night. Tomorrow night the plan is to watch the 3rd Pirates movie. I think it is safe to say that we have just about gone Disney bonkers!!!

Has it been announced when the Christmas Day Parade is being filmed at DLR?? i cant seem to find it???

I will be calling DLR this week to book our Footsteps of Walt Tour... i finish work in 4 weeks yesterday - i keep reading everyone's work is hectic must be the theme as mine is crazy hectic we have had a number of people leave and not been replaced and not likely to be before i go on holidays OH WELL
