Just saw that we are the first Merrytime cruise

This is awesome!!! I just told my friends that are on the fence about this cruise and it's just another reason to join the rest of us. I'm looking forward to seeing the holiday decorations on the ship. BTW, aside from the holiday decorations does DCL do anything else for the Merrytime cruises?

From what I can gather, there is a Christmas tree and other decorations on Castaway and the island train is decorated with antlers, the characters are wearing their Christmas outfits, There is a special Christmas deck party as well as the pirate night, There is a tree lighting ceremony on the first night of the cruise, santa meet and greet, Holiday storytelling and they have specials holiday events like decorating stocking and gingerbread houses etc.

Hi, my name is Minyu and will be traveling with hubby and 3 years old daughter. Just put down deposit today so I guess it is now official It is our first Disney cruise and suppose to be a surprise for my daughter's 4 years old birthday (Nov 11th) but I was too excited and couldn't keep the secrete to myself, and now she knows she is going to have her birthday on "big boat with princesses".
BTW, I would like to do the fish extenders as well.

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin. Other information you would like to share such as first names, ages of child participants, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM.

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, since no one has come forward yet to organize a FE for this cruise here on the DIS, please feel free to start the FE right in this thread.

There is certainly plenty of time to plan a FE for this cruise. All it takes is for someone to maintain a list of/for those participating which can easily be done in this thread. Cruise Meet threads have been doing it this way for years now here on the DIS.

We would like to do the FE on this cruise as well. We have 2 DD's (almost 12 and almost 9 at the time of cruising). We will be in cabins #2513 & #2515.

As of yesterday, we are booked! We have 3 rooms as this is an extended family trip but only our room wants to do the FE. This is our 2nd cruise and we had SO much fun doing the FE last time. It will be me ( 41), dh( 41) dd ( 10) and ds (7)

I upgraded our cabin to a higher floor. (This is my parents first cruise I wanted it to be extra special.) We are now in room 10110
But I am actually thinking of moving it again to the 9th floor. I heard bad reviews that the 10th floor has a lot of noise from chairs and people on the pool deck right above.

you definitely will want to change your cabin to deck 9. I've stayed on 10 before and the moving of deck chairs by the cleaning crew overnight will drive you nuts

I agree change to 9. My in laws had a room on 10 and the night before we docked to get off ship, they didn't sleep one bit, as the cleaning crew was power washing and stacking chairs all night into early morning.

Paid in full, airline tickets purchased and reservations at Bay Lake Tower (pre cruise) and Saratoga Springs (post cruise) booked. The hard part is the wait.
