Hello to everyone! It's been a long time since I've scanned the boards. DH and I are going to WDW in Sept. w/out the kids-and it got me thinking about the DIS board and our cruise thread. I see that there are several families from Chicagoland-we live in Channahon-which is just southwest of the I-55 I-80 interchange. The weather is broiling hot again today, but we're still going to try and go to the pool, otherwise I may loose my sanity of being cooped up with my kids for the 5th straight day of our heatwave. It's 459 days until our cruise-boy I hope the days keep rolling by. I really wanted to go this past July for our 15th anniversary, but I didn't want to go on a Med cruise.

Hello to everyone on the November 8, 2008 Eastern Cruise. We will be happy to join you! We just booked this cruise while on the Mediterranean Cruise. This will be cruise #10 for us. We had a great time with the people we met on the boards on this past cruise. There were a total of 296 of us. It was great fun!

I would like to know where the Bon Voyage Mickey & Minnie magnet signs came from. Can anyone tell me? They are so cute!

Right now I am in up to my head, so that will keep me busy for quite a while!

Since I'm beginning to think more often of our 11/8/08 cruise, thought I'd post on "our" cruise thread!
We are a family of 5 (me, DH, DD--w/be age 11, DS--w/b age 9, and DD--w/b age 6) and booked 2 cat 10 rooms.
This will be our 4th cruise with the last one in 2005...and...seems like a long time ago. I can't wait until we are under one year for this one, LOL.
We are busy getting ready for school next week. I'm sure many of you are doing the same thing!
I'm hoping to keep up with you all here as the time passes until our cruise.

The Bon Voyage magnet we had came with the Bon Voyage decoration package bought from DCL. The package included the magnet (about the size of a dinner plate), a banner, a ceiling cascade and I think a small cake. It's hanging on our fridge now.

Hello all, Hope everyone is doing fine. Just a quick note....l have been keeping up with the readings, but have not been able to join in until today. Just want to let the Nov 8 2008 cruisers know that we are booked. When on board in Nov 2006 we booked as far out as we could which was for an April 2008 date. This weekend I finally moved us as DH kept changing his mind as to whether or not we were going. Well not only did we get a better deal, which made the DH happier, but I was also able to get my DS and his fiance to come aboard also. Found out we had been up graded on the April booking from 12 to 11 which is no big deal, but this will follow us to the Nov 2008 booking. Plus it was a lot cheaper so that was good. We are now on
Deck 6. Also want to let you know Dee that I enjoyed your pics from Aug trip. They were great and the writing that you did was, what can I say, you missed yet another calling. I was throughly educated and had great laughs. Pat I also saw some pics of yours that you posted and couldn't believe how well you looked. You lost alot of weight. What is your secret? Well I have jury duty this week which will last til Friday or possibly Monday. It is a Motor Vehicle case. Work is going to love! Didn't get out of court yesterday til 5:15. I guess I will be going from court to work so that I can keep up. I see that you are all excited about your up and coming trip in Dec I think. Well let me run I have to email work and then get ready to go do my civic duty. Take care I will pop in again soon.

Thanks so much for letting me know about the signs as we saw quite a few on our last cruise. They are really neat.

We are trying to get our daughter and son-in-law on board for this cruise. It will be their first and I know they will love it. It would be a real treat for us to enjoy their company for a week as well!

Just got a call from DCL regarding 2009 cruises. We had signed up for any new bookings. They don't have any new listings yet ! Just guess we will all have to wait and see! I am anxious for next November myself. I just can't get enough of that Magic.

Just found out we are going to WDW for a week in December---4 - 11. I love that time of year in the parks!

Enjoy the wind down of summer as today was supposed to be are warmest day until next June....we had high 80's and very humid! I am ready for nice fall weather!

Hello Everybody! My wife and I and friends will be joining you on the cruise. We all just sailed om the 9/08/07 Western & rebooked while on board for the Eastern. We had a wonderful time & can't wait to sail again. Our party consists of me-Chris

Our friends from Chicago are also going with us on the cruise. The four of us met on a Disney Cruise six years ago and have been doing this annually ever since. We always book while on board for the next time. You can't beat the savings!

I know it is a long time, but we are looking forward to making new friends before we sail. We met such a nice group before our last cruise.

I have always told everyone that you meet the nicest people on a Disney Cruise!

We are going to WDW December 4 - 11. Is anyone else going to be there during that time?

Hi all! Just thought I would bump us up a bit. Pretty soon we will hit that awesome 1 year mark We got on a hotel elevator this weekend and my DS said the smell reminded him of the majic - go figure? Anyway, I haven't stop thinking about our cruise since. Hurry up November 2008!

Don't you wonder what he smelled? I can't think that I ever noticed a smell on the elevator before, but it does not take too much to make me ready for the cruise, but I don't want to wish the time away either because our week will go way too fast when we get on the ship!

Well, folks, since I've now made the "official" announcement on my trip report for our just ended cruise, I figured I would stop in and say hello. My wife and I will be joining you for our 3rd DCL trip on this one. I see a few people on here are vets at this. Looking forward to spending a week on the boat, but gotta admit that it sure feels like it's a long way away...
